Naughton is good enough to be our back up right back, however I would prefer our back ups to have the potential to become first team players, and that's just never gonna happen with Naughton.

Looking forward to seeing what Fredericks can do, AFAIK he can play right wing as well, useful player to have on the bench every now and then

ITK was more about Fredericks wasn't it...and the assumption that Naughton might be moved on.

A&C sees pages and pages of Ekotto debate......just saying.
Well, we actually do have some ITK on Ekotto today, JJ suggesting that mainly, there are no buyers.

Why haven't we sold Benny yet or at least parted company by mutual consent??!

@IamSpurs need a buyer !!!

Anyway, I'm really struggling with what to believe about Griezmann. I sense we are trying to fly under the radar on that one for as long as possible.

This is the main point with BAE I think, if no one wants to buy him, and we can't find him a loan, surely he's worth keeping around as a back up/rotation player.

We don't really have much choice do we? Unless we pay off his contract which considering Bentley/Gomes doesn't sound likely.

Are you being sarcastic?

Doesn't the fact that nobody wants him suggest that he just might actually be shit now

Well from what some have said, he wouldn't pass a medical, seem to remember a couple of French clubs coming in for him last summer. I can't imagine he was highly motivated at QPR last year and was probably going through the motions. He's hardly the model pro. But there's no advantage in freezing him out.

Been told by a mate of mine that supports millwall (the only one I have) that they have tried to bring fredericks back for the season only to be told a firm no as he's gonna be a first team squad player.
Assume that means naughton is off.
Pinch of salt and all that

Frederick's primary position is RM though, so maybe more likely to affect Lennon?

Might mean either of them are available.....think Fredericks is fully transitioning to RB, Poch had him there in the friendly this past weekend not sure it truly means anything since we aren't swamped with fullbacks and Walker wanted to sit it out because of the turf. I will defer to Poch, but i would have thought he would have been better suited to spending another season on loan and learning the RB spot a bit more.

He failed the medical twice.

Ben Davies has been "done" for like 3 days now and we havent announced anything. Im beginning to doubt we are signing him....

Of course, now that I said that we'll either announce 10min before open training starts, or someone will see him out there and spout it all over twitter.

We did the same with Verts, signed him and announced it 3 weeks later.

i don't see why not, should it not be a clean slate under a new manager? the same was said about ade yet he's come through it and is still our best striker. benny had five great years in a team fighting in/for the cl, he and avb didn't get on for whatever reason and eventually andre got his way and packed him off on loan, he would've done the same with ade given the chance. i watched him for cameroon and he was still looked his old self to me, he's still motivated to play for spurs.

I think with an arm round the shoulder from Poch, a reintegration with the squad he could well find his feet again. More importantly it would save us a few million which is now needed elsewhere

We need to do it with Vorm to help Swansea out on Utrecht's sell-on clause. Can be the only explanation
