Does anyone else find it very frustrating that we missed out on Moussa Dembele from Fulham? Now seems Chelsea are interested in him for over £30million.

Was such an obvious signing. Or was there another reason why we missed out?
Not for me. He's scoring in one in two for Celtic. They are so far ahead of other teams it's a joke. Now if he goes to Chelsea and scores one in two I will be pissed. Bet he doesn't though

Spurs not remotely linked with any signings, Poch dismissing the idea of any almost completely. A bit of a downer for SC, but what a refreshing and healthy position to be in. One can read this thread without any chancers hearing whispers of a striker on the plane from Spain, complicated exchange deals or tales claiming inside knowledge of how Poch and the squad interact.

Most of the summer signings have been spectacular failures. That seems to be a new groove that we've slipped into. Fortunately, we've also slipped into developing some very talented young players - Winks the latest - who are strongly committed to the club and have been able to cover up our transfer failings. Further to that, Walker, Rose, Dier, Alli and Kane continue to break new barriers with a desire to continue in that vein and do it here. Expect the test soon with City bidding £30m for Rose and our long-term partners Madrid wanting Alli for £50m.

The downside? Poch thinks the FA Cup is shit and he's right. The FA have done more than anyone to degrade their signature competition and dismiss it as an irrelevance.

Transfer deadline day and we've had nothing from Trix, nothing from JJ, nothing from Grey Fox, nothing from Ben, nothing from Ali Z, nothing from anyone and now I've just had a look outside and it's getting foggy. This is Levy's best smokescreen yet. Can't wait to see who we're signing.

Most of the summer signings have been spectacular failures. .

Wow.

Wanyama has been wonderful.
Sissoko's brute force is a useful way of breaking any deadlock from the centre, making him a very handy sub to have, although he's been a disappointment on the wing.
Janssen has been frustrating. He may not be suited to the PL, but he's still young and clearly a project for Poch.
The goalie whose name I forget has been something of a mystery.

Spectacular failures? Ali Dia spectacular, even Helder Postiga spectacular? Surely not.

Yes, sorry, wrong thread. But even so, surprised that this wasn't challenged.

Jay Rodriguez not even in the Southampton squad tonight. If the Daily Mail article is to be be believed, this may mean there is something in this...

....but most likely it doesn't

'citin' innit.

The only negative thing about having a great team is the eerie silence in this thread...
