It's pathetic, especially from grown men (and women). Most of whom will amount to nothing in their lives, yet seem to know more about the running of a football club than a man who has had to make the tough decisions at the club for more than 10 years.
As someone who has defended Levy on this board numerous occasions, I understand the decisions he makes, from a business standpoint. As a fan though, every once in a while, you just want to see the team say fuck it, we are going to take a risk here and spend a bit, show the team, the coach, and the fans that we are confident in our chances.

Its not the safest policy, but sometimes in life you have to take a few calculated chances - overbidding on Schneiderlin here, was one of those times.

Yep it's certainly not a tragedy and people are making it out to be worse than it is because of the teams around us doing some impressive business.

Sadly we simply can't compete and we all need to remember that.

But I do think that, everything considered, we could have done much better in this window.
I think that if we had a standout star player people would not be moaning as much. I think in the absence of that people look for a marquee signing as something to focus their hero worship on.

This is what i'm doing but I do have that sinking feeling that we're pretty much done with regards signings.
Chin up man... may as well enjoy these few hours whilst a Levy special is still possible. There'll be plenty of time for the sunk feelings tomorrow.

Chucked in £15 for the SC coffers...

You got to be admit though, Everton have done good business. They are who we are going up against in reality.

I really do think Lamela will seem like a new marquee signing for us.

So far this has been a sensible, if not particularly exciting or ambitious window. Not great, but it's also not the tragedy some are making it out to be.

Not at all. It's been a perfectly decent window.

I think we've accepted our position as a consistent Europa qualifier. There's no chance of competing with the 5 powerful club. Just look at who they are signing and what they cost. We're better off consolidating our position as 5-7 in the league and pushing for the new stadium.

Funny how the general consensus went from 'Welbeck isn't good enough' to 'OHMYGOD PLEASE DON'T BE HAVING A MEDICAL AT ARSENAL' in 24 hours.

Shows how desperate we, and the club, have become on DD, again.

We tried, we failed, the fax machine, changed goalposts blah blah blah.

The same thing for the last 4 windows

Hoping this reverse psychology works

The worst window we've ever had? Seriously? Some people need to get out more.

kept the players we wanted, moved out some of the players people wanted to get rid of.

Now we just need Poch to get the players we have playing his system. Will take time, but i think we will see an improvement in most of our players.

Bony agent reports talks with Tottenham came to nothing and his staying with Swansea. At least we can all go to bed early

We are 3 or 4 years behind City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Utd now

Everton have had an amazing window

Realistically we wont see CL again for another 5 years
