But those clubs have shown ambition and have been willing to invest. We havent.

Not saying id rather be them, just saying that they are trying. We arent. Levy talks a big game but never comes through on it.
I almost wish Levy and ENIC would sell up and leave us to our own devices. That way people like you would have the club you deserve. Then I would not have to read such drivel

So you actually think Levy puts the money where the mouth is? You're sorely mistaken, mate. Lowest net spend in the PL over the last 5 yrars with -£34m. A met spend this year lower than 18 other clubs with -£6.5 Only Southampton had lower.

Anyway, can we just close this thread and close up the transfer section until January? Windows shut. No need for it anymore.

Hey remember that time Blackburn was a top club in the Premier League? How about Villa? They both paid over the odds for players and where are they now?

Well at least they are fucking trying! Even if it doesnt come off, they are trying to get better. We dont see that with Levy.

The point is you're being selective bud. You're choosing to point to the clubs making buys and standing in the middle rather than the ones who did so and flopped so badly some of which are no longer even reaping the benefits of the Prem's modern tv deals.

This is going to sounder meaner than I intend it, but if you wanted a spender, you shouldn't have chosen Spurs.

But how can people force them out. They're not a public company.

You have to be kidding me? Players don't have power. TV doesn't have power. Owners have no power. Supporters have all the power. And only the Germans have figured it out.

Stop Going to the Games.

Stop Buying their Products

Stop Watching their Games

Organize and do those 3 things and ENIC spend 90m in January NET. Hell one empty home game would be enough to make a statement of intent. But English fans are harder to organize that atheists.

But when you get them out.......you will pay for it "so" much with the next sleazeball owners.

But at least you'll be doing something other than bitching and moaning on the boards about how ENIC spend their money on a product you will consume if they don't do a damn thing.

Can I ask you an honest question? Respectfully, what do you get out of posting here?
Sorry, forgot we all have to bow down to Levy and forgot its not right to want the club to improve and its wrong to not be satisfied. Whoops. My bad, thats on me.

So asking for a billionaires to fork up a net fucking spend and invest in the squad a little bit means i shouldnt have chosen Spurs? Levy cant even invest £1m of his billion in the squad and Lewis cant i vest 1m of his £3billion and I shouldnt have chosen this club which i have come to fucking love with every fiber of my being over the last 4-5 years? Really? Are you kidding?

I mean, again, respectfully, have you said a correct thing on this board? It seems like all you do is post stuff that gets you mocked. I just... don't see the point. It feels really futile, to an outside observer.

I got mocked by a certain few people because they were practically blowing the worst manager in our history. Alot of people actually agree with me.

You guys are delirious and delusional. This is a solid window with minimal negative. Fact of the matter is we won't make an overpriced investment because the ones we do make rarely work out.

You can't judge anything this early. We didn't overspend on useless players. We didn't spend on a Darren Bent, Pavlyuchenko, Alan Hutton, David Bentley or (I hope I eat my words) Soldado (54m right there folks mainly before the Ronaldo inflation).

Granted we don't know what we got at this point since it's a lot of youth, but nothing was overpaid for. This club doesn't and will never operate as a poorly functioning business, and if it does, Levy will nickel and dime his way to make sure those investments are made close to being right. We are the only club that can sell Robbie Keane for 20m and buy him back for half the price, and same for Defoe.

From the outside in, we improved our biggest weakness: our backline. We aren't the biggest club with stupid money, and we shouldn't be (cause that's no fun). This is a process and we have to believe that we have the right manager with good enough players in place to improve.

While a lot of you have become greedy and unrealistic since this Gareth Bale transfer (spending what we got for Bale), we have made sound investments. Its Early times and a lot of matches ahead to see how this progresses. But for everyone here bickering about being disappointed.......

We could've signed Charlie Adam.

Yeah see, this is why I mentioned why I thought it was gonna sound harsher than I intended it. I didn't mean to suggest that you made a poor choice or that you deserve it any less than anyone else, just that I don't understand why you expect "x" when you bought into "y."

You've made it very clear on here you enjoy gambling. That's all well n good and your prerogative, but not everyone is as loose with their cash as you seem to imply about yourself. Simply different personalities. Lewis is a billionaire (Levy is not from what I understand), and he's invested quite a bit for this club... just not as extravagantly as some of the wealthiest sports organizations on earth. Those midtable clubs you mentioned also had to spend above their means because as you may remember, there was a massive relegation pile until the last month or so of the season. Considering how much money there is involved in this league now, they know they either spend big or drop back out.

The game has changed, and very recently. With all this TV money, it isn't like it was even five years ago when you signed up. The mid and lower table sides have to up their ante massively to stay up in the arms race, and the clubs above us have to spend ridiculous amounts of cash if they want a shot at the title. Our owners have invested quite a bit to keep us stable, but I don't blame them if they don't want to spend out of their own pockets just to enter the arms race at the top that offers no guarantees.

Frankly, I love the puzzle we face at Spurs. I like that we have to figure out how to make things work on the pitch and cleverly in the transfer market rather than simply buying our way to success. It's why I come here, to see peoples' ideas on how they think we should do it.

ENIC isn't going to drastically change my friend. It is what it is. I suggest the better plan is for you to realign your expectations, and you'll find that love for the club you have more easily rewarded.

Literally how could you possibly come in here and have your complaint be "Joe Lewis didn';t invest ONE BILLION into the team."

Last season -

i) Our defense was shambles.
ii) There was no purpose in attack
iii) Our goals came from nowhere. Attacking Midfielders Lennon, Townsend, Gylfi, Lamela,Chadli did not deliver scoring not even 10 goals together. Paulinho & Eriksen contributed from midfield & Ade scored handful towards back end of season.

Now -

i) Entire defense is revamped. Now we pray & hope that the new defensive signings click.
ii) Regardless of the Liverpool result, we do play with a purpose, a certain style
iii) Adebayor may be frustrating at times, but he is still scoring. Lamela & Eriksen were bad against Liverpool but as a combination they at least seems to deliver better play than last season. Unlike last season, you get the feeling that we will be scoring against most teams.

Er did you see the Liverpool game
