I'm not sure it will go the distance although it will probably drag on a bit.

Are Southampton really going to want all this negative speculation on Schneiderlin for the next four-five weeks? They'd be best to rip the the plaster off, so to speak, and get it done sooner rather than later - unless they really are going to force him to stay, which I don't think they will.

But surely they need to get the outgoings finished so they can concentrate on incomings.
