Why do people insist on going with Initials when talking about players? Gets right on my tits

I mean we all agree that HL is our best player and a clear upgrade on BF but having to play behind MD,JV,DR,KW has limited him. We need new CBs and DL coming in will help. KN needs to go and BD brought in. SR,EC,P,MD all probably too similar. RS AB will both need to be sold.......BLAH BLAH BLAH

Use the fucking names!

ITK give us cryptic's and we give you initials, annoying isn't it ;p

Lagging behind who? United are panicked after their shit-tastic season, Liveprool are spending Suarez-money to soften the blow, and Chelsea are being Chelsea. We can't afford the players they buy, so we have to spend more time finding the right fit. Last year was an anomaly, and anyone expecting a repeat are going to be sorely disappointed.

Personally my worry is that constant new managers means too many new purchases. I'd rather we patch the obvious holes, and the fact that we already seem to be in advanced negotiations for a new LB is encouraging in that regards.
Not saying we need to go and buy a lot of players. What I am saying is that we are not decisive in clearing out and getting what we need. Some of that seems to be down to the way DL likes to work bu that is made worse by constantly changing managers. So Manu were sluggish last year but this time are trying not to make the same mistake...we on the other hand never seem to learn from the past

Just wanted to thank everyone who donated yesterday. We raised enough to cover SC for a month and I believe there might have been a small amount over that, i'll find out exactly how much later.

Meanwhile, if you haven't donated and wish to, it isn't too late. It's never too late! Please see the opening post for details on why we need donations, where the money goes and how to make a donation. And then donate.
Ever thought of registering this is a charitable organisation? Then all the donations could be worth an extra 25% with gift aid? It's an information service after all. Just a thought.

It's my understanding that to obtain charitable status you must benefit the public at large, whereas the site is only used by Spurs fans. The joys of doing a law degree lol.

DL wants to maximise the return he gets back from each player he sells. It will be a bluffing game with the buyers until the eventually pay up or move on.

With regards to buying players quickly. It's alot easier if you're one of the biggest clubs in the world and can pay what the buying club demands. Which we can't always do due to our financial situation.

His shot tally was an illusion, as he was far more predictable on the left. On the right, he actually took players on and made them backpedal, while on the left he just ran to the byline or across the box to shoot even worse. If Poch can harness that unpredictability from the right and humble him so he can have a clearer mind when to shoot and when to pass, I think he could be a great talent for us.
I think your taking the piss or at least I hope you are.

JJ's tweet this morning about BD not being a done deal is now being backed up by the Daily Mail who are also saying that Swans pulled the plug on it over last weekend and he was actually supposed to be due at Hotspur way today for talks.

Instead the Swansea official twitter page has taken great pride in tweeting a pic of him arriving at training this morning. The cheeky scamps.

Nice to see us lagging behind everyone in the transfer market as usual. Changing managers every year means we are forever playing catch up and slipping further behind. Our main rivals will have new players in place to go on their pre-season trips and we will still be futtering about

Our shiny new players (all seven of them) really made a difference last season didn't they?

It's the quality we now need to look for not quantity, and that will take a little more time. If four players suddenly arrived at Poch's door on day one of the transfer window opening i'd be more worried than where we are at this current moment in time. It may well be the case that a potential new signing is still playing at the WC.

Fucks sake chill.

Anyway Levy does not do futtering.....................(whatever the fuck that means).

We will not be signing any high quality players this summer, of that you can be sure. We blew our wad last summer and many of those players turned out to be very average. Proven quality such as Sanchez, Vidal etc that may be available for transfer are simply out of our league.

Probably didn't take much for them to walk away, there is a market for Davies (LFC was supposedly looking at him) and since they are not swimming in money they will try dictate the pricing.

Levy saying he will pay the £8m - £12m (or whatever the hell the supposed price is) over the next 40 years probably had them walk away from the table as part of the negotiation (keeping it on their terms) rather than playing the game as Levy dictates it.
