It's reasonable to assume that we would still hold an interest in Berahino and as Mr Pink alluded to, WBA have achieved nothing by holding on to him like they did. He hasn't performed anywhere close to his level this season and now whatever happens, they won't get even remotely close to the offer they had on the table from us before.

I would certainly take him in January if a deal can be done. Enough time has passed since the summer for everyone to have calmed down over this so as long as Jeremy Peace isn't a completely stubborn idiot then there's no reason why a deal can't be discussed amicably between him and Levy.

Andros is clearly on the way out. He's removed all his affiliation to Spurs from his Twitter profile, which however daft sounding, is relevant in this day and age. A player plus cash deal or something similar to what we did with Swansea for Davies/Vorm & Sig wouldn't surprise me.

As far as Kane goes, not even worth a comment it's that ludicrous to even consider that we would sell him.

My number 1 target for this window is Batshuayi. I will be obsessing over his signing from now until end of Jan.

Can see us enquiring again for Berahino but again being quoted silly prices - and I hope that we move on to alternative strikers at that point.

Think he's 'ok' but not someone I'd say should be a big target for us - and I'm sure there are better options for us which I'm hoping that ITK says we've lined up with the Berahino future price standoff in mind.

Can't see Batshuayi. as an option although I like him and the Belgian connection as @Blackcanary said last TW, he's Marseille's only striker

Why do you say they dropped a Bollock? As far as they are concerned they have rebuffed an unsolicited approach and planned for Bera'd eventual departure. Ok his contract has run down but that would have happened anyway. There are still opportunities for another club to come in for him. Until then, they still have a Player that we wanted.

Personally I think his value has and will continue to diminish - even through contract length alone. He is not an automatic starter and not in my opinion a 'must start' player for them. Granted we're all going to get more money in the future etc, but I would still think that the multi millions more that they would have received 5 months ago was more important to them for a player that they know will eventually leave. Just my thoughts, and I have no way of qualifying those.

What chances of a Berahino winning goal tomorrow? Would be so typical.

I'm not sure he's the type of striker we need. I really think we need another classic number 9, but I wouldn't be upset if we got him because it's absolutely imperative we get somebody in as we are risking Kane being completely burnt out.

It was risky enough not getting another striker in the summer. Now that it has been demonstrated that what most of us had been saying was correct (that neither Son or N'jie are actually CF's), failing to do so again is just negligent.

There is a loan system out there. I don't see why we are so afraid to use it until such time as we can identify and sign the player that Poch wants long term.

Son and Njie are just as much CFs as Berahino is.

It's so hard for us to sign anyone that will improve us, because our squad is so damn good. There's no point signing instant deadwood like Austin or Lambert. Poch will just not use them, like Stambouli and Fazio. He'd probably rather use Harrison or Coulthirst than be given the dross that is available in January.

For me Dembele is the only target so far that makes sense. There's a sense of another Alli about him.

Perez from Barcodes is similar to Harry. A deal with them would make sense since the are rumor on the internet they are interested in Andros

Perez would be a good fit. Young, mobile striker who roams a lot . Like Harry.

perhaps not the most exciting itk..

cabinessence on ftl: A little Rock Solid
Best team atmosphere since DL took over. According to DL that is. Only fly in the ointment being who do you think?
[townsend suggested]

No surprisingly. That was because DP and his team swear by a strict and longish stretching routine both before and after games and insist that's why we've had so few soft tissue injuries since he's been there. Basically AT didn't see the worth in doing it as he had got on. Go on guess again. Off out for few and will let you know when I get back circa 8.30pm.
The person in question they think may be a bit bi-polar and has quite a few miserable lows as a result. They're not overly concerned however.

My guess would be Rose or Lamela. Or N'Jie. Or Wimmer. Or maybe Bentaleb.

Unless it's Chadli, which seems unlikely as it's probably Davies.

If there not overly worried would suggest fringe player so not lamela rose bentaleb or chadli. More likely trippier as he is in and out of squad imo.

Considering the work rate Lamela puts in on the pitch (and apparently in training) I would be surprised if it were him, if we are thinking first team I would imagine more likely Eriksen as sometimes he looks really disinterested. Rose is also a interesting shout, but he seems to suffer from anger management isseues rather then being depressed. But I agree that it's more likely a squad player rather then first team if it's of little concern.

It's probably Ade. I know he's not a Spurs player these day. You know that. But does he know that? o_O
