You're right about Quagliarella, apparently he was transferred just now and was just on loan for the 2011 season, I thought it was permanent then. I don't agree with your description of him though.

Seriously though, why no one has mentioned someone like Derdiyok is beyond me. Everyone keeps hyping up Llorente, well, Derdiyok is very good in the air albeit not as tall, he is better on the ground, they're about the same with their back to goal, both have good technique, shot, vision, etc. Here's the thing...Derdiyok is 15-25M cheaper and is actually available. While we're in the Bundesliga, there's also his strike partner, Kiessling. So out of just the Bundesliga, without searching for players, I can think of like 4-5 strikers that would be successful here, be fairly cheap (especially if we can include players in swaps), and are available.

Derdiyok
Cisse
Petric
Ibisevic
Olic

And there is no way Dawson is leaving. He loves the club, and the fans love him. Plus he does not seem like the type of guy to do this. BS journalism.

FFS, if this is true I'm starting to get fed up of football all together. If our players rate themselves so highly then how do they explain failing to beat Wigan, West Brom, West Ham or Blackpool at all last season home or away?

If you can't trust Michael Dawson to be an honest pro with his feet on the ground then who can you trust?

No-one. They are only loyal to the highest bidder...

I really think we will not ship out our deadwood with the high prices. I really think to prevent last minute buys, we should forget about all the Rossis, Vuvunics, Adebayors, Falcos, Lorentes. Just wrap up one proven goal scorer from the cheaper Bundesligue, and buy Sturridge and get everyone training for pre-season. No star buys, but at least we know these will score more than our current strikers with the supply they get.

And seriously, Les Ferdinand should go, he has failed to achieve his KPIs. He should go. We have to face it, without CL, we are not that attractive. So we have to set our targets lower.

I actually don't think we NEED a 30M pound striker.

I'd love one but I think we'd be just fine with a Barrios, Adebayor or Vucinic.
