So glad Taylor got thumped. A thoroughly dislikeable bloke and void of any class or humility.
And fucking Sky completely ignoring the fact that Cross beat their golden boy and insisting on paying homage to him while the new champion was having his photo taken at the back of the stage. Fucking wankers.

Like him or not, but the greatest darts player ever has just retired, and people are wondering why Sky are paying homage to him?
He's achieved what Cross has achieved SEVENTEEN TIMES.
Jesus Christ.

I watched a fair bit of the darts. Somethings going on.

Didn't see one of them win a goldfish. o_O

Sounds like F1 is doing it too. I feel bad for the women who are trying to make a living as a model as it only takes jobs from them and lets PDC/F1 use that money for other things.

One of the darts girls has said she's going to lose over 60% of her income.
The problem is that there will be a huge knock-on effect, even though people don't see it yet.
More often than not these girls are wearing clothing that advertises sponsors.
No advertising = no sponsors
No sponsors = no money
No money = no sport

F1 will be the biggest one to suffer, as they continue to lose the smaller teams who rely on this sponsorship.

I'm not sure what I think about these 'walk on girls' or 'track girls' etc.

On the one hand I understand the argument that nobody is forcing the women to do this, and in many of the cases they are being paid fairly well to do it.

But on the other hand it does feel like a massive step forward from a fairly neanderthal tradition.

Ultimately the only reason to have those girls there is for men to ogle at them, so you can't really argue sensibly that it's not pretty sexist.

And as for this mate...come on now.

So by getting rid of girls in skimpy outfits we're going to suddenly lose some sports? I don't think so. Maybe we'll lose some people to strip clubs who were only in it for watching the girls, but other than that I think sport will survive.

Absolutely ridiculous, pandering to the PC brigade.
I could understand if they were being abused etc but it's not anything like the case.

I watched the Premier League Darts tonight, and they've stopped using 'Walk-On girls' and rightly or wrongly, that fair enough, after all it's their call to make...but why the hell then are they still using dancing girls on the stage? If as an organisation you're going to make a political gesture toward women's dignity, then what the fuck is that all about?

Someone told me recently that Rob Cross, the new PDC World Champion is a Spurs fan. Anyone know if that's true?

Adrian Lewis has been suspended by the PDC following an incident at a UK Pro Tour event on Friday.

Thought Lisa Ashton did really well last night. Threw absolute bombs in the first set, but ultimately I think the whole atmosphere etc got to her.

Looking forward to seeing how Paul Nicholson plays on his comeback in the next hour or so.

Will throw well first set or so then tail off. This format suits very few players and imo he's not one of them.

Yeah I don't think he will go through and even if he does, Anderson will batter him tonight.
