Injury update: After withdrawals due to injuries picked up in the weekend fixtures, neither Jack Wilshere or Mark Noble have been added to the England Squad. More to follow.

No-one's saying Sterling is anywhere near Ronaldo's level are they. But saying Ronaldo played in shit teams is just nonsense. Look at Portugal's 2006, 8, 10 squads. Players like Ferriera, Pepe, Carvalho, Coentrao, Moutinho, Tiago, Veloso, Simao, Quersma, Nani, Ronaldo,

That list reads like a load of players we very nearly signed! :ROFLMAO:

Happy to see the Harries withdrawn, not happy they are injured but they are injured so I don't want them anywhere near the England set up.

Would be interesting to see Llana alongside Dele behind Kane in a 3-4-2-1.

Gomez is an interesting call-up as he's actually been playing quite well for Liverpool (well according to couple of mates who support them) and you can't really view Liverpool's defensive frailties are solely the fault of the back four with the way they set up.

Positive to hear that Southgate looking to play a back three.

I'd be tempted to look at a 3-5-2 otherwise, keep it simple and try and play to our strengths.

Jones is having a good season for Manchester United but he does seem to pick up injuries easily so not sure if would be available.

Rashford can play wide but I'd stick him up top with Kane as a strike partnership.

Butland

Dier Stones Cahill

Walker Llana Winks Dele Rose

Kane Rashford

Will be even funnier if Noble doesn't get called up with all these injuries.
If England are smart, they will call him up to increase ticket sales.

I can imagine there are still loads of tickets to be sold, and West Ham fans will go crazy to be able to witness the one and only time their Lord and Saviour got in to the England squad.

Next day west ham will be printing 'Mark Noble - Greatest ever England player' t shirts

Pretty annoyed Sturridge hasn't been picked. Would liven up our attack a bit.

I'd even take Wilshere and Ox for these two games, that's how thread bear / unpromising this England squad this looks

Was surprised cork wasn’t in original squad. He’s been brilliant for burley this season. Why Swansea sold him is baffling.

Sterling misses out with a back injury. That must be the least believable of the lot!

Impossible to prove or disprove if a player says they have a bad back. He's been so bad for England though that I don't think it's a loss. Plays well for his club but not the national team.

Quite Surprised that Wilshire hasn't been called up, as much as I hate him, he's a talented footballer.
