If Lambert and Lallana sign for Liverpool as expected, the England team - particularly the probably starting XI - is looking very scouse-centric...

(Liverpool Everton Scouser)

Probable XI

Hart

Johnson
Cahill
Jagielka
Baines

Gerrard
Henderson

Sterling
Rooney
Lallana

Sturridge

Squad
Foster, Forster; Smalling, Jones, Shaw; Wilshere, Lampard, Barkley, Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Welbeck, Lambert

I'm sure they'll be modest about it though...

That's disgusting

Anyone think 2.50 on England not getting out of the group is a good bet? I'm seriously tempted

I can't predict what's going to happen in our group. There's not much between three of the sides, then you have to factor in injuries, the weather conditions and luck so it could really be any two of three to go out.

Good group ours although it will probably come down to the first game against Italy as to whether we progress or not.

You could be right - although I'm expecting a few draws in our group so it might come down to goal difference.

I'm expecting some good stuff but I'm fearing the worst

Heard earlier that six of the last ten international tournaments have seen us go out on pens,
that's actually quite an achievement....
Taking the positives from it I suppose it means we're actually quite hard to beat...

Hope the front line is Sterling, Lallana, Rooney and Sturridge. Not a fan of us playing with Welbeck out wide

I don't really have an issue with Wellbeck starting. Seems to play better against big teams and I would prefer Stirling off the bench to make a difference if it's not working.

I would have said draw, but with no Gigi I think we could take them. I think it will unsettle them.

1812? Surely you should be more salty about 1814 when we sailed up the Potomac and burnt Washington D.C. Is that why the White House is white? You know, to hide the scorch marks ;)

No odds not good enough

I think a 0-0 draw in England v Italy game ( best priced 6/1 with Sky Bet and William Hill) looks a cracking bet though, just put £50 on it

Wouldn't mind Welbeck stretching the Italian defence to be honest. It could make the Italians drop a little deeper so we could have more chance of dominating the game.

As Henry said yesterday we need to run in behind them with pace. If Roy gets it right with Sterling, Sturridge, Welbeck etc. we could cause them all sorts of problems providing Gerrard's passing range is good. Can't imagine they will be that used to defending against those kind of players. Pace frightens defences.
