Ray Wilkins on Talksport this week said Loftus Cheek is just as good as Dele Alli, he just hasn't been given enough time on the pitch at Chelsea to show it

Between the two boxes LC probably is the better player, just not in and around the opponents box, where Alli is vastly superior.

You wouldn't catch me wearing something in Scotland's main colour, although I love the Spurs away top in navy blue. When will the idiots at the FA get it into their thick heads that our proper change jerseys are red?

As much as I am an official member of the ‘never red’ club, England should have a white and red kit, and a red and white away kit. I actually prefer watching England playing in red. Not that I’m watching the game tonight.

Lingard you muppet

Looked lively when he came on but miles away from the standard of an international player. Surprised he's still thought of being good enough to be at Man U. Guess he keeps up the home grown numbers.

Can't see Lingard making the World Cup squad from a fully fit selection of England players.

I'm an optimistic bastard so maybe I'm being deluded but looking at the younger players in the team today and the youth age groups success this summer I can't help but think things are on the up for England now and maybe 2022 World Cup isn't that crazy an idea

Cue group stage exit after a defeat to a newly independent Catalonia
