Anyone who thinks Kane being this crap is some attempted tacital genius by both Poch and Southgate simultaneously, which they both continue insisting on despite it clearly not working, is being very optimistic. He's slow, he doesn't react to anything, and his touch has gone to shit. And a dodgy ankle isn't suddenly slowing his reactions - he's exhausted because Pochetinno has overplayed him and Levy hasn't brought in a proper backup.

Agree with all of that, but the ankle could also be having an effect. He’s had several similar injuries and it could be hampering his mobility.

Kane doesn’t look good but I’m not convinced in the world of sports science and everything these days both pochettino, Southgate and the medical teams of England and Spurs are both just chucking him out there for fun.

They will have decided, based on their experience way greater then ours, that it’s best for him to play through whatever the problem is. Whether we think that’s a good decision or not is kind of irrelevant.

Firstly because it's not pointless, it's a chance for England to win something for the first time in most of our lifetimes. But secondly, I'd put myself in Southgate's shoes here. Spurs haven't ever really rested Kane, haven't brought in a backup, didn't give him a break after the World Cup. Then they phone up, say he's knackered, and ask if I'll change my captain and my team to give him a rest - I'd be telling them where to stick it.

It’s a Mickey Mouse international trophy though. It’s not the European championships.

I dont understand why as a club we didn't make the decision to give him more time off. Would it have ruined our season that much to give him another month? I suppose it might have helped if we bought in backup.

No suppose about it.

Poch needs to drop a paper plane down to Southgate with the words "HARRY OFF NOW"

Maguire needs a rest.

Win something? Oh behave. Ask 100 people in the street what this competition is a good deal won't have a clue. I have no idea what is involved in winning it and don't care.

I think this is more about Kane not being able to say no to playing. That's if he is knackered which I just don't buy.
Keep thinking of the recent Michael Owen interview where he talks about his injuries at a young age, perhaps this has more to do with Kane's poor outfield play since his lay off with injury.

This game time for Rose will help for the Liverpool match. He needs to get match fit and he also needs to start that game

So were the Euros once, hence England not even taking part at first. Every tournament was new once. I personally think it's a good idea and people will eventually take it seriously.

Southgate is useless. Still hasn’t changed a thing tactically. This game will peter out now

This is a nothing match.

Southgate gets paid to do well at the Euros and World Cup - this is nothing, and England will soon be out of it anyway...
