Why is Kane still on the pitch? He’s offering nothing. Get him off and give him some rest.

You just know we'll play him against Liverpool though. Doesn't matter how tired he is, how slow he is, how bad he is, he's guarenteed to start. We can't criticise England for doing exactly the same as we've been.

This game is dire to watch. Utterly devoid of excitement imo. England are reverting to boring tactics again as there is absolutely no invention on the cm area.

I don't really agree with these internationals post WC anyway. Ridiculous.

I don’t rate rashford at all but tonight he hasn’t gone hiding once. Got to give him that.

There's no one you can trust in between the lines.

If they are younger players with these attributes they should be fast tracked.

So were the Euros once, hence England not even taking part at first. Every tournament was new once. I personally think it's a good idea and people will eventually take it seriously.

The promotion/relegation aspect means that the teams will all take it seriously which will hopefully get the fans on board too. I'd much rather be watching a competitive match like this than a friendly with half a dozen subs from each team.

Rashford isn't awful. He s been wasteful in front of goal, but he has had a go and has caused Spain some.problems. eclipsed a certain other striker in this match so far.

There's also crucially the aspect of seeding - if you finish bottom of your group in League A you won't be a top seed for Euro qualifying or even more importantly World Cup qualifying. So in a couple of years time England could draw a Spain, Germany or France to qualify for the world cup, and have to either win a group ahead of them or rely on the playoffs - which will be done through, yep, the Nations League. This is effectively Euro qualifying, World Cup qualifying and a new trophy rolled into one.
