All of ours made it. Utterly uninspiring selection, not that that is a bad thing. 6 players who played mainly as fullbacks and 4 who played mainly at centre backs is probably the strangest thing about the squad. Loftus-Cheek sneaked in, probably deservedly considering the competition and thats that.

I don't agree with the defensive selections. Why do we need 3 Rbs? And 4 centre halves plus Dier?

I'd have taken out Cahill and brought in another midfielder, probably Wilshere. I'd have also gone for Sancho and Sessegnon over Welbeck and Young. Glad Loftus Cheek is in again.

Would have taken Shelvey over Welbeck. Not sure if Welbeck will get any game-time with the options ahead of him.

Pickford
Walker - Maguire - Stones
Trippier - Dier - Henderson (crap midfield) - Rose
Sterling - Dele
Kane

Danny fucking Welbeck. We might as well not bother boarding the plane
I actually like Welbeck as a player works hard, runs all day, very unselfish. But yeh, would of been nice to punt on Bailey instead.

He was our best player by a mile when he played in those friendlies.
I watched very few England friendlies over the years so that explains it. I don't think you can take too much from friendly games though. How's he been for Palace?

Forget the midfield, that defense risks getting seriously picked apart by fluid opponents.

We're just overloaded in too many positions.

What's the point in TAA, Trippier and Walker. Also Young, Rose and Delph. We've also got 4 CBs plus Dier.

Southgate could have given himself far more options by relying on the versatility of Delph and Dier a lot more. Could have afforded him a lot more wildcard picks like Sessegnon etc.

In fairness if we are playing three at the back 5 CB's is actually a bit short, but with walker playing there as well...

I agree take a defensive player out of that put on a midfielder. I mean in that team we have ten players who have played the majority of their time in defense this season, and ten for all the other outfield positions. I guess the logic is delph is there to cover the midfield, Walker for CB..

But personally I don't want us lining up against Tunisia with 3 CBs. If you need extra you can just drop Dier back there? It's his best position anyway.

What the buggery fuck is that announcement video. I think it just gave me cat AIDS.

Every other country releases a list. We release a sodding video that clearly took weeks to make.

We are a joke.

I really don't understand the point of taking Danny Welbeck over somebody like Ryan Sessegnon. What does Welbeck bring to the team that Sessegnon wouldnt?

Basically a lot of defensive players, some attacking players who need to be fed, no midfielders, definitely no creative types who can control a game and pick the right pass at the right time.

Reads like a team that will sit back and then look to launch counter attacks with our numerous pacey players. It cant be one that wants to get on the front foot and dictate a game.

Walker I assume will play CB and Dier will play in midfield, not sure on what the thinking is about Young/Delph, maybe he wants to play Delph in midfield, certainly an option.

Yeah, good shout. Kane, Vardy and Rashford should be more than enough up front - in fact, it's a very strong forward selection.
