Being a Spurs-supporter I`ve always sympathized with the English team in a way. And I guess Norway is the country in Europe outside England itself where England would find most support. When it comes to this years world cup, I`m not sure if this english team is good enough. I would like to see England in a final, and a final with France vs England would be historical and great. But , I would like to see teams in the final that deserves to be in that final. And when it comes to this english team I`m still not convinced. I guess from an english point of view too, you wouldn`t like it to be the big exception if England go to the final (like Greece in 2004)- but you would probably want the rest of the world to feel that this english team really deserves to be there..?! I hope England beat Croatia in a convincing way in the semi and score goals. Then this can be something to be proud of. First of all Sterling needs to improve!
Why wouldn't we deserve to be there? Please, name a team who deserve it more than us.

I've only watched one England game in a public place this WC and I fucking hated it compared to watching it at home or at friends.

Why are the English intent on ruining everyone else's experiences in pubs etc?

On the contrary, yesterday's game was the first I watched at the pub this world cup and I absolutely loved the atmosphere, everyone was in good spirits, the reaction when we scored was fantastic. Can't wait to go back for Wednesday.

@Rob firstly, I am apologizing because I know it may not be allowed to be discussed but I just wanted to ask what the deal is with asking about tickets and if anyone is selling/know of anyone? Again, sorry, I am not stirring, i just genuinely don't know if its allowed as its England and not Spurs.

Completely agree. Last week watched the last 16 game in my work courtyard on the projector, was awesome with no idiots there. Its those wannabe football hooligan, short back and side parting kids on the coke that ruin it for everyone.

Well, right now both Belgium and France deserve to meet in a final and not asemifinal. I don't think England seems like one of the four best national teams in the world. But, thats how a cup works. Off course.

There’s no ‘deserve’ about it, it’s totally irrelevant. If you win all the games you play you deserve to win the World Cup regardless of who you play.

Well, thats not my opinion in general. But if England beat Croatia in the semi and Belgium or France in the final, England deserves it and it would be cool. Something I really doubt will happen. And yes, if it happens, make sure the thugs in the street don't destroy the glory and beauty of it! ?

Obviously shes raising a good point, but its the sweeping generalisation that fucks me off.
'Dear football fans', like all football fans would consider something like this acceptable.
Its similar to grouping all Muslims in with terrorism, when the extreme majority don't sympathise, and would never have anything to do with it.

I dont understand that at all. Had the usual suspects performed up to par, England would have had to get by Germany and then Argentina or Spain. The brackets were set up fairly and then they played the games. You can only play the team you are assigned.

if France or Belgium really "deserve" it more than one and only one of them will win it all whether they meet in the semis or finals

We don’t have any rules about England tickets. Common sense would suggest don’t discuss anything that’s against the terms of the ticket.

I fear for middle England's town centres if the team lose in either the semi or the final.

Where I used to live in Hertford it usually ended up with the drunks versus the old bill, shop windows and cars smashed up just for letting off frustrations.

Off course. You're right. And luckily you still have Croatia and Belgium/France to conquer. And if you do that you deserve the title, and it will probably not be considered as a repeat of Greece 2004. If you don't, it's not anybodys fault. Its just a consquence of not having the best team and players in the world. Probably how both Sweden and Russia felt yesterday. And thats quite OK, as long as its not a bad penalty shot or some other typical english reason behind the defeat.. At least thats how I see it.
