Only Iran created less goal scoring chances from open play than us. That’s a bit shit isn’t it.

Yeah it's a bit rubbish and something we need to work on, we've always had issues creating chances cause we don't have the technical ability however I think there will be a few players who could be ready to step up to help our creativity come the next tournament.

My point was easy to understand. England as a country is not doing too well in football and in sports in general... My question was why..

Have a look at the top teams in the EPL and count the number of English players there are that get regular game time. That is IMHO the reason England struggle in matches. We have the young players that I think could make it to international level but with managers(under pressure for results) and supporters (wanting the top fancy named players from abroad) forever berating the clubs or their management put pressure on the selection of the team. Even the lower level teams buy foreign players nowadays instead of nurturing their youngsters so it's a vicious circle. Only truly outstanding youths get a small chance and they don't always continue their progression into top class players.

There is certainly a lot of room for improvement.

At the beginning of the tournament expectations were very low. We were organised, despite having weak individuals we defended quite well.

Kind of felt like the first step of the process.

I think we missed Lallana a lot. We also lack good passers from midfield.

Let’s hope the likes of Winks develops.

You're right. Englands defense was quite well-organised.

Not sure if these are images of us training after the semi-final defeat. If it is, it's good to see all 5 fit & well..especially Tripper.

I understand, Martin - I'm not questioning why you raised your point or the focus of it. I'm merely pointing out that you posited your question on a racist foundation, albeit inadvertently.

Quite frankly I haven’t got the time or the energy to “argue” with anyone these days and especially with somebody that likes to throw insults that add nothing to the debate. I’ve said my piece, you’ve said yours and hey ho we don’t agree. I thought we decided to leave it? Yet you feel the need to keep quoting my posts and tagging me in stuff? What’s all that about? Do you like the attention or something?
What, insults like:

My my you really are a bad loser aren’t you.

Or

Bore off mate.

Anyway here’s another good article on the matter which pretty much outlines the original point that I was making in that we got extremely lucky with the draw and only managed to beat the teams that we should have beaten and that this campaign really doesn’t deserve the fanfare and heroes welcome that it’s gettting. But keep tagging me if you please and ending your posts with amazing insults like name calling ? as it makes you look so hard.

Had you bothered to read my second reply to you you would have noticed that I didn't state that I thought you were wrong in what you were saying but how you were saying it. But I suppose taking the time to read three sentences would take away too much time from your personal crusade, right?

Had you read anything else I'd posted, I also mentioned the draw. But, unlike you, I didn't say things like:

Oh and by the way, I was more than a little bit pleased that Croatia won last night as I can’t stand England

As you were, petal.

Oh, I'm sorry, is my quoting you bothering you, petal? Is it interfering with you rubbing salt in the wounds of England fans?

Was that sentence too long for you, by the way? I'm only asking because you seem to have trouble with long posts. I'm just concerned.

Right, what exactly are you looking to debate / argue? You made your points yesterday and I made mine. We disagreed quite evidently. I’m not interested in reading your long replies as to why you think I’m wrong and likewise you obviously don’t want to hear why I think I’m right so what exactly is the point in this conversation? Why is your opinion more valid than mine? Also the last time I checked this was a Tottenham forum so surprise surprise as Tottenham is a global brand not everyone is an England fan.

Oh and one last point, why do you constantly feel the need to refer to me as “Petal”?? Is that some thinly disguised insult at my sexual orientation?? If so well done mate ? I’d never heard that one before. Oh and Welcome to 2018 by the way ?

You really are hard of thinking, aren't you? Had you taken the time to read my posts, you'd have seen that I wasn't necessarily disagreeing with you. I've actually said that twice now and it still doesn't seem to have penetrated. Why don't you go and read what I posted and then maybe you'd understand. Or would that be too much of a stretch of intelligence for you? Petal*

*I'll explain that one to you when you demonstrate that you have the basic capacity to understand what I've been trying to get you to understand.

Ive already told you that I can’t be arsed to argue with anyone so no I won’t take the time to read any of your what I’m sure were well thought out posts. I don’t really don’t care what you think mate or what you have to say, why is that so hard for you to understand? I’ll spell it out for you one last time just so we’re both clear........ I frankly don’t give a damn what you think or what you post and I am in no way interested in starting or participating in a debate with you.

Oh, of course. My bad. I should have realised that all you want is to smash away at your keyboard, rather than actually listen to what anyone else has to say. Sorry about that. My fault for assuming you had a measure of intelligence.

Just a quick question: if you've not bothered to read my posts, how do you know we're in disagreement? You see? That's what happens when you open your mouth (or in your case, smash your keyboard) without engaging Mr. Brain first. Try doing it the other way round. You'll find it works a lot better, petal.

Oh, don't worry by the way, I'll keep calling you petal, petal. Because I know you love it so much.

I really hope he doesnt start trippier tomorrow. Even though he has trained, he had a groin strain. Dele needs a break. Its a nothing game.

I hope only Dier and Rose of our boys get on the pitch, but I'm sure Kane will want to play too. Dele and Trippier should definitely sit it out.
