Can Southgate just remove Sterling and give Ali a go in his proper position.
You never know there might be some decent link up between Ali/Kane. Who knows if might work!!

Incrediblely shit attacking football from England as usual. If it's not a set play forget about it.

I'd like to see Alli n sterlings role. Might get a crumb of creativity...maybe

Anyone think Southgate is sticking with Sterling just to avoid having to find out if he was wrong to keep picking him before?

Half time, whoop whoop... 15 mins before Southgate’s boring tactics continue. Wish he would grow a pair and go 433. Rashford and Sterling either side of Kane and Alli in behind.

I know we've changed the three in midfield but I think this game is exposing how kind the fixtures were to us, if we'd have come up against better quality we wouldn't have made it this far.

Are you watching the cable-cam view online?

Her in the States Fox has 2 or 3 different broadcasts of the game, cable-cam is one. I'm watching it on Sling TV, a subscription service which can be viewed on Roku, and other streaming boxes. I fired satellite and cable TV.

Would like to see anyone in sterling’s role other than Sterling. Even Butland could’nt do any worse.

Have to admit I think a lot of shortcomings in this England setup have been covered up due to the run to the semi's. The attacking play is pretty awful and has been in pretty much every game I can remember other than for 25 minutes in that first game.

I hope Southgate doesn't think this is the way forward, because we create next to nothing in this setup.

Winning 4, 3 of which were against dross and losing 3 isn’t an overachievement. Lucky against Tunisia, battered Panama but forgot how to defend for the last 20 mins, schooled by the Belgium reserves, battled passed Colombia, strolled passed Sweden, schooled by Croatia and now looking clueless against the Belgian 1st team.

As I said earlier in the half, neither team is going at full throttle or anywhere near it. The pressing and shape of both teams is crap, there are opportunities for both teams, the superior footballing outfit (probably Belgium - who for some reason want to sit and wait for the counter attack when they could boss this I suspect) will win it.

From a Spurs perspective, fairly terrible. Trippier has been quiet but at least been ok. Rose currently struggles to play the game above walking pace and switched off for the goal. Kane is in full-on donkey mode I'm afraid, plodding about up front rather pathetically. The Dier has 'elite defensive positioning' myth that some on SC like to push and push will no doubt survive, but he's just getting the run around and being caught out time and time again - I gave up counting on the 10th time a man had peeled in behind him and got the ball in front of the defence, and that was before 15 mins were on the clock. No exaggeration.

It's pointless moaning about the midfield, and lack of nous on the ball, and what it should be doing etc, it was obvious what the (massive) limitations of this squad were when it was selected. The only way to drastically change it and look more of a threat would be to play much more directly, probably 4-4-2ish and just focus on trying to hit the box as early as possible. These guys just aren't going to carefully control and construct sequences of football.
