They were going on about it earlier and they were really pressing the claims of Alladyce, Redknapp and Coppell. They felt the FA should've at least interviewed them etc...

My view is that the FA could not approach 2 of them as they are currently or were previously under scrutiny by the police. How would the FA been seen appointing a criminal as the National Manager?

But it`s ok to have wankers as the last two have proved. They should have met Redknapp at a service station and given him a envelope full of £50`s. If the manager and staff aren`t English why do the players need to be? Why not change it to players who play in your league. Why not do away with poxy internationals altogether?

yeh i agree the thought of the world cup in harrys hands is quite funny..... but the point is who gives a shit what managers do , it's the results that matter

Fuck the Englishman England team thing, it's about the country and getting results so they did the right thing.

Ideally the best candidate for the job would be english but with nobody even approaching Capellos class he's the right man for the job. But I hope he brings us long term success cos none of the young english managers about at the moment have shown anything which might suggest they could take over from him in a few years. Hopefully someone like Pearce, Shearer, Ince or Boothroyd can be integrated into the full national team set-up and benefit from working with somone of Capellos undoubted quality.

All this is completely irrelevant anyway cos everybody who knows anything about football knows we wont win a thing until we have a French/African manager and the England squad consists of nothing but French/African players.

Why don't we employ an immigrant from an ethnic minority instead of the person best qualified for the job? Organisations love doing that. Oh wait...that's just the local government and NHS.
