Was much nicer than I thought it would be. Especially for a new stadium. Had a bit of character and really well designed. Anyone else like it?

I haven't been there since the Commonwealth Games were held there and it was pretty impressive. I would rather have been there on Sunday though.

I went when Berbatov played a blinder on his own after we went down to 10 men .. slightly better than the average new stadium But only one I like is Stadium of Light just because it still has the Roker Roar

Just a shame I suppose that it also still has Sunderland.

It might be The Etihad but the Citeh supporters can't sing their old song 'If I die in Kippax Street'

Never been there, Maine Rd about six or seven times. Always rained.

Had one trip there, Kanoute, 1-0. One trip to Maine Road too, Rebrov, 1-0. My first game at the Lane, against City, Roberts, 1-0.

Typically I missed the 4-1 earlier in the season...

Yeah I quite like Stadium of Light and its always a noisy atmosphere, but most of the time they seem to be directing it at the referee and very whiny!

The improved stands looked impressive on the TV I thought. It got me imagining what ours is going to be like as I think our stands are going to be closer to the pitch. Players really will feel like the fans are on top of them.

I was there for that one. First away win of the season I seem to remember. We were all singing "Jingle Bells" and there was a massive punch up during the escort back to Piccadilly.

A father of my son's school mate is a City fan and season ticket holder. 2 weeks ago he was bemoaning the fact that all atmosphere was lost from their transition from old to new stadium. He says his mates with who he used to give the ref and the opposition some stick are all scattered around amongst a lot of corporate faces.

He was there at the 4-1 drubbing at WHL and he thinks WHL has one of the best atmosphere's of all stadia in the EPL (he goes to every league match).

I told him my concerns about our new stadium potential dispersion of the shelf, park, north and south stand noisy crowds. He thinks it's inevitable, that there'll always be a 'dilution' effect when increasing capacity rapidly.

Hope not. I'm not a ST holder, am a bronze member and whilst the view is better from the W Stand (IMO) the atmosphere is often rubbish - lots of silence, quiet mutterings and odd looks when I stand up and shout.

Maine Road was mental. I remember the FA Cup quarter final in 1993 when Nayim scored a hat trick and they had to have police horses across the pitch. The police parked our coaches outside the Kippax and left us to it...

I have to agree, the Roker Roar is very impressive.
