Two questions spring to mind immediately.

What would Fulham want with a stadium that size?

What would the FA do with £800m? National stadium in the midlands?

Ok, that’s 3 questions.

No doubt the 2 games a season package between Spurs and the NFL will be a watertight commitment with compensation penalties in place for both parties for failure to deliver.

However, I am still in the belief, that if Mr Khan is successful in purchasing Wembley stadium, that this will impact our chances of having an NFL franchise in our new stadium.

It's reported that Khan has no intention of moving Fulham FC from their current Craven Cottage location, and plans to develop their riverside stand and training centre.

If true, and Fulham FC aren't to move, why would an NFL team owner be looking to purchase a stadium, a stadium his very team have already come to England and played in.

Of course, the NFL would have to approve the idea of an NFL franchise playing out of London, and the FA will have to look at all positives and negatives if to sell.

But...the NFL are looking to expand, so like ourselves, another stadium offering the opportunity to stage NFL will be seen as a positive. Would Khan be able to redevelop part of Wembley to make it more NFL friendly?...I'm thinking yes if the rewards are great enough.

What of the FA, would a good financial offer and the guarantee that Wembley would still be the home of English football be too good to refuse?.

I can see Wembley being sold, and whilst we have given ourselves every chance to secure an NFL franchise by building a dual purpose stadium to host this very sport...

I'd say it was unreasonable to think that Khan, a small fish in the grand scheme regarding NFL, won't be able to secure an NFL franchise in the UK ahead of Spurs. He owns a team already, and we must surely be considered an even smaller fish unfortunately. No?

We've given ourselves a chance. If we deliver great experiences whilst staging our 2 games a season events, we've given ourselves a greater chance.

Khan buying Wembley gives him a chance, owning an NFL team gives him the edge.

Couldn't care less who owns Wembley but am worried that if it does become the home of NFL in the UK then that leaves us with half a white elephant

I didn’t realise that the FA had only owned Wembley for 19 years. I thought they had always owned the stadium. Not really that controversial that they are selling it now I know that.

It's not the selling that concerns me, but more the fact of whom it is sold to and the ramifications said purchase could have on our future plans concerning finamcial growth.

I couldn't give a flying fuck. Sell Wembley, don't sell Wembley.

I have total faith in Daniel Levy to do what needs doing in any eventuality, if it isn't already done :sneaky:

Knock craven cottage down. Development their could easily be worth £1bn. NFL may well be a smoke screen. If this sheikh fell buys Wembley and de used to move Fulham there can he do it? Is there anything FA could do to stop him ?

As far as spurs are concerned who was the last person to get one over on Levy ? Apparently this has been in pipeline for 18 months hard to believe Levy wasn’t aware.

Time to get his poker face out and threaten squatters rights at Wembley until he gets his own way. And somehow screw West Ham too just for the lolz.

He’s said today that he’ll let Chelsea rent it. For the right price...

Kind of irrelevant tbh. How are you playing football on that pitch in deep winter around 10 NFL games. Pitch was an absolute state after just 2 games this year. Think they relayed it because it suddenly looked fine our next game.

I've always felt it was unlikely that there would be a London franchise at all. If Khan successfully buys Wembley then it increases the chances of the Jaguars moving to London completely, but its still far from guaranteed that a London franchise will ever happen. Our 10 year deal is unaffected, and even if the Jags moved here as a full-time home then I would expect the NFL to continue with its current model of other teams playing games here at an alternative stadium - which is where we would come in - but it may be only one game a season after the initial 10 year deal expires.

Overall I'm not massively fussed - even as a big NFL fan - as in the short-term it doesn't change anything and in the long-term there all sorts of variables which could have an impact on the NFL's relationship with London beyond our existing 10 year deal. Its likely to have an impact on Chelsea's plans for a temporary home while they rebuild Stamford Bridge before it has an impact on a potential London franchise.

Isn't the NFL season quite congested and could Chavs get their games fitted in?
I honestly think Abramovic is getting fed up getting out spent by Citeh and will walk away soon?

They could fit the games in. The pitch would look like the somme though.
