I agree @jimtheyid - it's been really very good.

I wish SC had done something like this, all those years ago when @rez9000 suggested it. We could have been market leaders.

It's all good though, and the Fighting Cock is by far the best one out there.

Does whatshisname Cornwall still do his? That was shite.

What's stopping SC from doing one now?

The effort. We've had it mooted a few times but it really needs someone dedicated to step up and run it (both with the technical and presenting sides of it).

I've done some podcasting in the past. Enjoyed it and have had a few ideas for a SC one.

Happy to offer my services, but probably not until the start of next season as I'm due an operation on my spine which is going to leave me pretty incapacitated for a few months!

How technical is it? Set up a mic, record for an hour, turn off, upload. With podcasts like the fighting cock one, you don't need to edit (unless you want some little theme tunes in the middle)

It's always a lot more time consuming than you think it'll be when you start off. That's guaranteed!

The best ones always involve a running order and a bit of planning, it's pretty hard for a weekly podcast not to end up spiralling into the same discussions every week. Just look at what happens in the threads on this site haha! :)

Oh yeah I'm not questioning the presenting side of it, but the technical side is minimal surely?

Depends on whether you have everyone in a room, people over Skype etc.

Plus you always need to do a bit of editing.

It will need editiing etc if you want it done right. Make sure levels etc are correct.

Especially the first few. Will be a right hodge podge.

Also regarding the fighting cock Podcast. I like @Flav and his efforts to see the positive and I mostly agree with Spooky. Ricky is funny but finding Thelonious a little irritating at the moment.

I didn't say that. But now you have, I think you've pretty much nailed it.

I actually think that the Cornwall one is pretty banal. They occasionally have an interesting guest, but all they ever do is agree with each other's mundane platitudes. Most of the guests bore me rigid with the same old cliched grumbles.

The fighting cock drifts into some silly puerile shit sometimes and they spend a bit too much time bitching about stub hub etc, but it's generally way more interesting and amusing (and informative - windy etc) than the Spurs Show.

I tried to listen to it, but some bloke who couldn't speak properly was going on about his girlfriend putting her finger up his bottom. No thanks

You should be able to get it any where. Even stream from their site.

It's also on youtube which is probably the easiest way to listen to it. Plus you can get some youtube downloader to download it if you're gonna listen to it away from wifi

Disagree, we need someone like Thelonious to put us in our place otherwise we would be like liverpool

Positive during the week and heartbroken after the match and then giving it out large again come Tuesday
