The Fighting Cocks my fave Spurs podcast. Honestly has me roaring laughing sometimes, especially some of Ricky's reactions. His reaction to being told Ancelotti was in the running for the Spurs job before the CL Final last year was brilliant.

Phil Cornwell's impersonations are so cringe worthy I usually skip the first 2 mins of The Spurs Show (at least). He's hardly on it any more anyway so why don't they just do away with his name altogether? Might get more listeners that way! When he does turn up he seems to know bugger all about what's going on.

I see the 'Hotspurs Podcast' stopped recording this week. I listened to it a couple of times. Ended listening when the Northern Irish bloke on it couldn't get half our players names correct / provided analysis on games he never watched.

Pointless.

The Fighting Cock is still my favourite Spurs podcast I think, but does anyone else also listen to Rule the Roost or Wheeler Dealer Radio? They each provide a different perspective and tone, which in combination make for a great set of podcasts to listen to on my walks to work and back.

The Fighting Cock is always amusing and entertaining. Yeah, it's the most 'laddish' of the three, bordering on a bit of 'shock jock' approach at times, but there's a place for that - and having Windy's youth update half way through provides a bit of balance. It's also the most passionate and unrestrained of them all. Extra rep for their 1882 work, and their promotion of CALM.

Rule the Roost from Spurs Stat Man (TehTrunk of YouTube fame, Raj Bains who's a professional sports journalist, and more recently Seb the Premier League Owl) is a bit less laddish, but equally entertaining IMO. TehTrunk provides the unrestrained fan approach, whilst Raj tends to add a bit more analytical insight. Seb's a recent addition, so I haven't got much of a handle on his tone/style yet.

Wheeler Dealer Radio from USA site Cartilage Free Captain (on SB Nation) is more restrained again, whilst remaining very entertaining. I find it particularly interesting because it's fronted by fans in the USA who have only started supporting Spurs relatively recently when football became more popular in the US, rather than UK fans who usually have a team since early boyhood, and they often take that American stats approach to football - how far a player's run, tackles made etc. Ben Daniels (Lennon's Eyebrow) is particularly insightful IMO.

I'm afraid I gave up with Phil Cornwall's Spurs Show. It became just so deathly dull.

Hadn't heard of this one before so I've just started to give it a listen and I have to be honest, it's a struggle. Listening to Americans talk about football is a struggle at the best of times (sorry to our American followers), but the 'Poach-a-tino' might get a bit too much, and also the use of 'scrum' during a game of football and calling football 'soccer' of course. Still, I'll give them the whole episode to redeem themselves.

Side note, has anyone noticed that Americans tend to refer to us mostly as 'Spurs' whereas Londoners mostly refer to us as 'Tottenham'?

Well that would unbearable, as would Tottenham Hotspurs, or worse yet, The Tottenham Hotspurs. But I mean just from other videos I've seen and on this site too. I'm 20 minutes in and except for the opening where they said Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal one time, they've called us Spurs ever since. Not a problem, just curious. I guess it's because American teams tend to have nicknames

I must be way out of touch because listening to this weeks I felt a bit...

Not that Flav seemed uncomfortable, but I think he's definitely more at ease with a Carl Donnelly than he is with a Tony D. I also chuckled a bit when they got so hyped up from Tony's little raps/insults, it was like the new kid on the block wowing the kids with his yoyo tricks :D

Agree wiht @Geyzer Soze I've heard Americans refer to us as 'The Spurs' on quite a few occasions, which is strange. Just calling us 'Spurs' I don' think is. I would probably say Tottenham when talking about us the most but would say 'I'm a Spurs fan' quite regularly.

Yeah, it's not strange to call us Spurs, just saying I noticed that for the most part Americans seem to refer to us as Spurs, and they do so exclusively on that pod ^

I like the diversity of the guests on TFC, gives a difference flavour each week. The trust episode was great, do was Iain Macintosh, Tony D was different but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
