Can we put all this slow starter shit to bed? If it wasn't for coming back from injuries and some poor luck with the woodwork, Harry might have had a Player of the fucking Month as well as a good few goals in Augusts past.

But he hasn’t and has yet to score a PL goal in August

Newcastle A
Fulham Wembley
UTD A
Watford A
Pool H

I have to admit that I am very concerned with our start with the potential fallout from the shambles of the transfer window. Kane is a slow starter, Son will be missing, we have a number of injuries and players late back from the W/C.

Apart from our win last year Newcastle away has always been tough.

Fulham, back in the PL at Wembley.

Poch hasn’t fared well at OT and UTD still have big time players.

Watford our players could be under pressure if we’ve dropped points in the previous games.

Pool in the new place could be a baptism of fire.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we only got 2-5 points. Am I just being overly pessimistic?

Try to be a bit more optimistic buddy ?

Could see as low as 7 points and as high as 13. We’ll see how the chips fall.

I could see us have as low as 0 points and as high as 15.

I think we will win against Fulham, Watford. Draw against Newcastle and get torn apart by United and Liverpool.

We matched up well with them last season, dominating them in 3 of the 4 separate 45 minutes we played.

Far too much being made of this transfer window nonsense.

Got moronic West Ham fans shouting about how they’ll finish above us despite them not possessing a single player who’d get in our first XI! So much noise and hype over it all, the best way to shut everyone up is do the business tomorrow.

Heard it all before from West Ham, they can knock themselves out. They’ve not even finished top half in consecutive seasons since Redknapp was there 20 years ago. Even if they do alright this year - and for them that’s a top 10 finish - Sullivan will cock it up somehow

Torn apart is a big statement. We got torn apart in two games in the whole of last season, against City. We actually tore United and Liverpool apart when we played them.

I must have missed something. Have all our players got worse over the summer? Maybe Keita and Fred are going to make a huge difference in this seasons fixtures against them two sides?

Doubt we or many clubs could get torn apart by United really. They'd shut up shop if they ever went 2 ahead

I think that our WC players will have problems get into form and proper fitness after the summer. I don't have much faith in our central midfield either and I think they will be bossed a lot more this season than the last.

EDIT: And by torn apart by United I don't mean that they will win 7-0. I think that they will beat us comfortably (even if it's just a 2-0 for example).

I'm going to be at the OT game in a dark corner of the Stretford End near some pretty skanky Mancs. I'm happy to lay my life down in order to celebrate Kane's hatrick!

I'm going for 9 points from 5 games. That's not too bad of a start with two of the big guns out of the way.

Absolutely nothing to fear here though.
