This is the last year its being played home/away over 2 legs...moving to a single match at a neutral venue from next season.
Only then you'll get a 50/50 split of fans at the match and that'll be fucking carnage as well.

Unbelievable. Bit of tear gas and they're all crying off.

In my day, dab of the magic sponge and run it off son. The game's gone.

Infantino not happy by the sounds of it :-

How on earth can Boca be expected toplay under these cirumstances ? Shocking

https://twitter.com/JuanG_Arango/status/1066443633837121536

Infantino should be gone tomorrow. He was trying to force them to play. He was saying Boca would be penalized and disqualified if they wouldnt play. Boca and River presidents came to an agreement to not play and then begged FIFA and CONMEBOL to call it off. Heads should be rolling tomorrow at those associations. River should also receive heavy punishments. The aftermath of the postponement was terrible.

i would have been hoping River Plate won it, but after that nonsense i hope now Boca whip them, even with backing of Qatar.

Most of you that don't live in the country don't know most of the politics and coward moves that happen in southamerican football.

What happened yesterday with the bus, happened in the first leg too. I can show you articles and pictures.
The bus was thrown into the "wolf's den' on purpose. They sent the bus right into the middle of the River fans. Of course it's no excuse, but imo it was premeditated, as it never happened before. They usually go through a street without River fans.
The player that was seen with the bandage in his eye, now is confirmed to start the game. Which makes you think he was either faking it or overreacting. Just like it happens on the pitch with the diving and faking.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but things are not as simple as they seem when talking about football in Argentina. There's a lot of politics. The current president got elected after being president of Boca. That should show you the magnitude of the importance in politics

I agree with Ossie that the political ties these clubs have run deep. Silly sending the Boca coach the way they did, looks like I'll be avoiding Libertadores again today. The police raided the head of the River gangs home this week, seizing 100's of final tickets and 100's of thousands of dollars worth of pesos whilst throwing him in a cell. So could have helped orchestrate some of the violence witnessed yesterday.

I'm pissed because I had tickets to San Lorenzo(my club) in our derby against Huracan today, which has been cancelled as KO was supposed to be the same time as the now rescheduled start time.

Match postponed. Again
Right call, to be honest. Cant see how they'd be in any shape to play. I remember the photos of the same thing happening in the prior leg. But Boca's bus was sent into an ambush and it got the players and staff hurt.

Match postponed. Again

That's a shame, but I guess they're either worried about the continued threat of violence, it done of the players haven't recovered from yesterday's attack in time.

Are there away goals in this competition? It was two all after the first leg wasn't it? Could they move the second leg to a neutral venue if it's effectively a one off match?

There are away goals in the cup , with the exception of the final.
