Except he is ready to go invest in his team unlike Haas & has a manufacturer F1 has been desperate for. He’s being boxed out because he’d be more likely to upset the apple cart than Haas who refuses to put a fucking dollar into that team. I guarantee they’d probably veto him buying Haas. But also Haas shouldn’t sell to him. F1 should have more seats to give more opportunities to talented drivers.
Lol half the seats are already filled with guys who‘s daddy’s are paying them to be there. There isn’t a shortage of seats in F1. There’s a shortage of cash to make the teams viable. Diluting that by adding another team to compete for sponsors and prize money isn’t going to help the situation, it’s going to exacerbate it.

The truth is it’s a barely functioning sport that is getting by on past glories. It’s been that way for decades now. It’s uncompetitive, and it’s boring. They’ve tried shaking it up more times than I can remember in the last 30 years, but it always ends up as a procession behind one dominant team, or a race to see who finishes third. Cars have less and less sponsors on them from the sports heyday in the 80s and 90s. There’s not enough money in the sport to sustain the development needed to compete with the big teams.

Throwing another team at the sport won’t do a damn thing to change any of that.

The whole thing needs to be torn up and started from scratch imo.

Agree mate, it’s really boring compared to 70-90’s and not just because the cars are more safe mostly because just one team keeps dominating and the cars being so reliable now too make it predictable and boring.

Also all these sprint races and changes have made it worse imo.

This track is beautifully made, looks terrific, nice wide track and very tidy but, damn, it's boring racing.

For owning a team meant to be competitive, it’s insane that Lawrence Stroll willingly only has 1 seat to compete with because he’ll never get rid of Lance even though he presents a real danger to himself & others on the grid every time he is out there.

Apparently the grand plan is to make Lance the World Champion... But surely, no amount of parental bias could make Papa Stroll even think for a moment that that could ever become reality...

You know what could make F1 exciting again - randomly assign drivers to cars each race week. Then you could have a real separate drivers and constructors championship.

imagine Verstappen driving a Williams or Sargeant driving a Red Bull.

having Sargent drive a Red Bull strikes me as a VERY efficient way to destroy a Red Bull car.

I still believe someone inside Red Bull wants Horner gone and that story hasn't finished yet.

So good to watch Red Bull implode. Haven't watched F1 since the dominance started, they need to revamp it somehow so that the cars are always on a relatively similar footing and it comes down to actual driving skill rather than one dominant car.
