its because hamilton was told to go slow and allow alonso to win as a mcclaren 1-2 was more important than allowing the 2 to race

that btw is illegal

and Lewis Hamilton in pole position!! Is it today he wins a race..I bloody hope so!!..

I went off Formula1 when our drivers went downhill..lol but my son is a avid racing driver fan as his best friend from school who is 15 atm drives for Team Loctite in the Formula BMW Championships hes basically driving a smaller version of a Formula 1 car..so he is always talking to me about Lewis Hamilton!

Go on Lewis Hamilton. Slightly being hindered by idiotic crashing people making the safety car come out but I think he can do it today.

That was one hell of a fucking crash.

Alonso and Heidfeld both get 10 second stop-go so the race is Hamilton's if he can keep it on the road.

Testament to how tough them cars are - the cockpit section looked pretty intact, so fingers crossed for him.

They just mentioned Panis here a few years ago, when he broke both his legs - i remember that race too, both his feet sticking out the front of his car where the nose had been torn off.

Fucking hell watching it again it's bloody lucky he didn't connect with anyone else or go over the wall. That would have been disastrous.

Good restart by Hamilton at least.

Watching the replays they remind me of seeing Senna and Ratzenberger.

Most crashes in F1 you know they'll walk away from them unharmed no matter how spectacular they are.

Ones like these are sickening.

Yeah it was a bit like Ratzenberger's. It was a very bizarre one with him going full speed into that sticking out bit of the wall.

Apparently he's stable...good news indeed.

Aye, hopefully he'll be back soon.

For most spectactular crash I nominate the one in Brazil where Jordan ended up with the win and I think on of the Minardi's got a podium.

Was a very weird race that one.

He's well, no injuries!

That's a bloody relief. One of the first things which came to mind seeing him in the cockpit on the side was of Imola in the mid-90's. I don't remember exactly what year it happened.

I'm fairly certain the Spikers should be banned from formula 1. They are both absolutely useless!
