Wasn't that Button at Silverstone.
I honestly can't remember who or where or even what car they were in, I just remember they were winning, it was tight, then they came round the final corner, may have been Spa, just after the Bus Stop, and they ran out of fuel, ended up in fifth or sixth by virtue of being 1 lap ahead at the end.

I'll have to YouTube it later and see if I can find it. It's bound to be on there because it was so funny.

Welol done Lewis, he is one for the future and I should rename myself McLaren gal!!! LOL loving the McLarens at the momenbt, top banana and top passing move by Sato, I'm sure he was let by to AVOID a crash, you can somehow see it with him and well done to Wurz on the podium, a little something for the BMW boys to cheer them up on after that horrendus incident and did I just say in the thread about THAT wall, "The Wall Of Champions"!!!!

Wasn't Button in 2000 or sommink?

A sprained ankle.????

I have to say I was expecting the worse after seeing his crash yesterday. I told my son's at the time if he has escaped without any kind of injuries then he sure was a very lucky man!

Someone was looking over him yesterday I say!!

Even better! It's a relief.

Just goes to show how much the improvements spearheaded by Schumacher made a difference following Imola.

I was looking at crashes before 1994 and crashes since 1994 earlier and the improvements are absolutely huge. A crash like that even 10 years ago would have probably ended up much, much worse, let alone those 15-25yrs ago.

Alonso: McLaren favour Brit

Two-time Formula One champion Fernando Alonso has launched a shocking attack on his McLaren team, insisting English sensation Lewis Hamilton is getting "all of the help".

Hamilton took the first chequered flag of his career at the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday, leapfrogging Alonso to top the Drivers Championship.

The triumph clearly rankled with the defending champion, who offered congratulations through gritted teeth, hinting the victory had involved a fair share of luck.

Now Alonso has voiced concerns that his own prospects are suffering due to Hamilton, who the Spaniard claims is receiving preferential treatment from McLaren.

"From the first moment I wasn't comfortable with everything," Alonso said on Cadena Ser radio.

"It's an English team, with an English team-mate. You know that all of the help goes his way.

"I've understood that from the first moment and, well, I'm not moaning about it."

Alonso's comments come just a week after he actually benefited from the orders of the McLaren team, who warned Hamilton not to jeopardise a team one-two at the Monaco Grand Prix.

Now it appears Alonso may be worried at having to play second fiddle, although he insists he remains confident despite dropping eight points behind his team-mate.

He said: "I'm relaxed, I'm good, although I know there is some impatience for the way I arrived and how I am expected to dominate.

"I'm where I want to be and I have clear options for winning the title, which is what we want."

I could see this coming.

Who was the Moto GP rider who was dragged along the track by another bike and wore the end of his pinky finger off on the track? There was a pic in MSN of him checking it out, still laying on the tarmac - he broke his collar bone, ground half his finger off and a few other injuries, he raced the next race, didn't he?

tough! :D

I'm not the biggest fan of Formula One, but I'm a massive fan of Lewis Hamilton purely for rendering the arrogant, boring personality-free Button utterly pointless.

Fitting that Hamilton chalked up his first win while Jenson stalled on the grid like the loser he is. Made my day.

Exactly.

I've met Button (my Dad works in F1 so I've had a few special passes to the pit lanes, technical areas etc), and he seemed just as much of a twat as I expected (and he's a gooner as well apparently).

He's also a distinctly average driver who's only ever won one race, yet the way the press used to harp on about him you'd think he actually stood a chance of challenging the likes of Schumacher, Alonso or Raikkenon. I don't necessarily mind arrogant sportsmen if they're actually one of the best at what they do, but the guy has fuck all to be arrogant about.

Raikkenon isn't exactly cutting the mustard as everyone expected this year though either, and lets be honest - the Honda is such a pile of crap i could probably beat it around most circuits on my bike
