Spoiler Alert! The following is what The Goat was given, apologies if it isn't anything exciting or earth shattering, feel free to dress it up in your heads with a shoot out, car chase and several death defying stunts as required.
The Goat has had a snippet of news regarding Lloris which is something and nothing.
Lloris hasn't said he wants to move and the club haven't been given any indications that he would force it, but that if the offer was good enough he'd not be against it. Our source reckons if United slap the money on the table, Levy will take it. That said The Goat was told that "nothing has happened yet"…..All pretty common sense stuff but at least it gives an idea as to the state of play.
The Goat was also told there was interest in a winger from Spain but no names were mentioned.
The Goat hears that we have high hopes of Ade going to Villa, even with the obvious wages issue. Goat was told Levy was keen to make a deal, also that he had meeting with Poch over targets.
If Ade and Stambouli go this week, The Goat was told to expect us to wrap up a deal quite quickly although we were not given a name.
Nothing new or exotic, but passing it on nevertheless.
The Goat has heard that both Adebayor and Soldado have cleared out their lockers. Also that both departures are expected by the weekend but the club want it done sooner rather than later.
We are hoping to bring Werner to watch the United game on Saturday and this on Berahino (from two sources), firstly, that he's been to the training ground and also that we could have him signed by Saturday.
The Goat hears that Berahino and his 'people' are happy for him to move to Spurs. Having said that, his club are waiting to see if earlier interest from either Manchester club is followed up on. The Goat's source however, thinks there is a deadline, put in place by Spurs and his agent as both want to see this resolved and him settled, sooner rather than later.
Based on other information received, The Goat thinks this is something that once triggered, will resolve VERY quickly as some of the usual formalities have already been completed.
A genuine defensive midfielder? At Spurs? The clubs are close to an agreement but his advisors want to wait to see who else shows an interest. The Goat hears that IF this happens it may well be a late one.
