Going through one of them spells where I can't find a winner. I either back one that finishes well down the field or get beaten on the nod, i'd built my pot right up but its nearly back where I started, I need a winner!

I see that Coneygree is out of the Gold cup and Don Cossack is 50/50 st best, Cue Card seems to be being routed to the Ryanair...Thistlcrack may not have much to beat come march.

I was super impressed by Finians Oscar at the weekend but Capitaine also stayed in the notebook - he made a horrible mess of the hurdle two out and virtually came to a stand still, still managed to run on for second and get within a few lengths of FO.

I also liked the look of Augusta Kate on Sunday, she took a horrible fall as well but seemed to be moving quite nicely behind Death duty (who now looks a strong shot in the potato race). could be worth a few ££ antepost on AK for the one of the mares hurdles?

Cannot wait for march.

Cheltenham antepost;

Thistlecrack - GC
Altior - Arkle
Douvan - Champion Chase
Unowhatimeanharry - Stayer Hurdle

Lump it on

Also like @buttons Death Duty and Finians Oscar interest me along with Redhotfillypeppers @ 14-1

All good choices, a few others I like are

Supreme - Moon Racer ( although Melon looked good at weekend )
Mares - VVM now that Annie Power out
JLT - Yorkhill
RSA - Coney Island
Cross Country - Cantlow
Bumper - Getabird

Melon looks like a classic back now and lay on the day, if ruby jumps on him he'll go off about 2/1. He looked decent on Sunday but not sure he beat much. Moon Racer has beaten more this season and if he makes it will probably get my vote!

After Saturday I've also had a decent bet on Djakadam for the gold cup, he stays all day up the hill. He's also about 8/1 in the without Thistlecrack market.

Hasn't Mullins got a few other contenders for the Supreme Buttons?

This Melon looks like a classic hype job, the field he beat on Sunday were not the greatest to say the least.

Faugheen and Min out of Cheltenham - fair few antepost bets ruined, including mine :banghead:

Real shame that so many big hitters falling by the wayside and more bad news for Mullins.

Glad I've held off making any AP bets now. Think I'm going to wait until the week before.

The list of horses not going to Cheltenham is getting longer by the second: Vautour, Faugheen, Min, Annie Power, Don Cossack, Sprinter Sacre and of course Many Clouds.

Does leave a few races a little more open on the plus side!

Yeah he does and a few of them are quite short, Chateu Conti included, who I was quite impressed with last time out.

I still think if Moon Racer is fit his experience will probably win the day. I'll do some work on trends etc over the next couple of weeks and would expect him to come out on top.

I also like Jenkins, at a price, if you're prepared to excuse his latest run.

Don't forget Coneygree as well.

Whats your gut feeling on Yorkhill? I think they'll go Champion Hurdle with him purely because the race looks wide open now.

Anyone think this is a good bet? :

Altior, Douvan, Thistlecrack, Uknowwhatimeanharry and Death Duty all to win any race at Cheltenham - 28/1.
