You can call it that but Poch has historically gone out of his way to avoid selecting youth players. I really want to KWP to be rewarded for his patience but I can honesty see Poch moving Dier to RB or Sissoko to RWB rather than give those minutes to KWP.

No he hasn't and he won't select a player to play out of position at the expense of a natural RB

Some narrative about Poch not giving youth a chance purely for the sake of it, I read it time and time again and it's just paranoid nonsense.

Hope he starts at Huddersfield. Trippier for Barca. Sounds like Aurier will be out for a while - the suggestion above that Poch would rather play Sissoko at RWB is just silly. He'll get his start soon. Hopefully he takes his chance.

For as long as I've used Spurs forums, sooner or later the manager is accused by a section of our fans of ignoring or not playing youth. From what I can tell these accusations usually come about because the fan rates a youth player and wants to see more of them or they don't rate the first team player and would rather a youth team member play instead.

The reality of the situation is that most youth players aren't good enough, or at the very least a risk. And in the modern game especially, managers don't have the opportunity to take many risks as they lose their job if those risks back fire.

As KWP, now is the time for him to show what he can do. I do believe that he'll get opportunities if Aurier is out.

We also have to appreciate that it is much harder, and a bigger risk playing youth players when we are involved in a higher level of competition. I believe that Poch still has the mantle that if they are good enough then they will play, but not to the detriment of the team or the clubs position.

I dont for a minute think he is trying to hold any individual back as much as we would like to see KWP get some more minutes

KWP for both, IMO. Better defender and an overall better fit for us than Trippier. Doesnt help that Trippier has been going back and forth with his counter part at LB last season in seeing whose worse every game thus far this season.

It's the same people all the time, heard the same thing about Bentaleb, Lesniak, Pritchard, Townsend, there's a reason why these players are playing for lesser teams now, granted I reckon KWP is good enough to start in this team but there's just countless baseless accusations against Poch saying the same thing over and over and they're never justified

Slap in the face for KWP really... why on earth is he not in the starting line up today?

What a joke. How's he meant to get better if he's never allowed to actually play football? It's not like tripper has actually been that good this season either...got obliterated several times only 3 days ago.

He looked knackered after the Barcelona game too. If KWP can’t get a game against Cardiff in rotation then it’s not looking good for him. He must be banging the manager’s door down.

Poor by Poch not playing him against Cardiff.

Very very poor.
Weird thing as well that he was the first extension done this summer. He must be horrid in training or something, makes zero sense.

Don't understand why he isn't getting more game time. We obviously rate him by giving him an extension. He'd be better going out on loan for the remainder of the season and getting some games
