I really do struggle to understand why he isn’t getting any minutes tbh. Trippier and Aurier are so suspect at times, makes you wondered what KWP is doing in training to be behind them

Loved his cameo against Leicester. He showed he was a complete footballer whilst Aurier tries hard but makes far too many mistakes. How Aurier starts ahead of Walker-Peters is beyond me.

LOL what an absolute shit post. Even when Aurier have played well the last couple of games. Much better than the liability of Trippier.

Let me think, you probably also thought that Josh Onomah would be the next Modric.

40 minutes after we announce KWP's contract extension and we already have people on here shouting at each other. Good grief.

you really think that if he was especially bad in training Poch would be keeping him around, consistently naming him on the bench and Spurs would continually be giving him new contracts?

KWP has put a lot of faith in Spurs and the project signing that, so looking forward to him coming through in the next couple of years.

Pretty surprised by this, Is he going to get an opportunity or not? I'm a little concerned he will start in Barca and if he gets ripped to shreds people will use that as evidence he isn't good enough. Needs a run in the rotation at some point

I don't think pochettino sees it that way. Which is what matters. Look at Foyth, he has made a few calamitous mistakes as he breaks the first team. As long as the overall performance is good, pochettino is happy. It's refreshing to see a coach / manager take that approach, and not listen to popular opinion based on a few games. How else are younger players meant to learn. It certainly hasn't harmed Foyth' s confidence, not that I can see.

He actually has better technique then aurier he is just too skinny and weak. Unreal to think a PL football can be so skinny. He needs to bulk up

this is exactly the reason why he's not yet made the step up to the first team rotation. I posted before the physical difference in Foyth and in fact Winks is noticeable. Once KWP adds some physical strength and power to his play then he will be the first choice, I have no doubt about that.

Would like to see us use Tripper similar to how Pep employs Walker in a back 3, and have Aurier and KWP rotating at the right of the midfield 5.

This formation allows Trippier to supply accurate cross field passes as well as crosses into the box from the back while keeping our width with the pace of Aurier and KWP.

Trippier would be great at those passes but an absolute liability as a right sided centre half, almost no aerial presence and easily pushed off the ball

Difference is Kyle Walker is actually a good defender and alot quicker than Trippier. Trippier played as an RWB for England becuase of his crossing ability. Tripps was made to have an incredible WC because he had Walker playing a more disciplined role covering his mistakes and allowed Trippier more freedom to go forward

Ah the considered view lol

Never been a fan of Onomah as IMO he has no end product at PL level.

Wonder if he can bulk up much if he’s naturally a skinny minny?

Plus would hope if he can bulk up it doesn’t affect his play.

surely the new contract got to mean one of Trippier or Aurier will be phased out. Really dont care who goes, both players have serious limitations.

Not a massive fan of either but Aurier fits the role Poch likes the fullbacks to play better than Trippier does IMO, as does KWP.

and trippier will bring in the most dosh between the two, playing off of the world cup reputation and the english factor. Can see knicking 35 quid easily of some mid table sucker, preferably west ham.
Or we could sell both and go all out for Wan-Bissaka. Would suit our style of play perfectly.
That'd be a master stroke of business if we could pull it off.

Only trouble is, given our well-documented problems with the HG player quota, selling Trippier rather than Aurier only makes that worse.
