You obviously haven't understood his point. There is no HG quota - a squad can have zero HG players if it wants to. There is a quota on non-HG players.

I have understood the point perfectly well, I've just accidentally written HG quota instead of non-HG quota but from the rest of my post it's obvious what my point is so it's just semantic nit-picking for the sake of it rather than a discussion. If someone accidentally writes "there" when they mean "their" that doesn't make their entire post invalid ffs.

But you said selling Trippier instead of Aurier makes our HG situation worse, but it doesn't if we are replacing him with KWP, it stays the same.

We’re not “replacing him this KWP”. We already have KWP as an option in the squad.

Selling Trippier would clearly weaken the squad. It wouldn’t improve the homegrown situation. In fact, if we then had to buy another player from abroad to replace Trippier, it would worsen the homegrown player situation.

you really think that if he was especially bad in training Poch would be keeping him around, consistently naming him on the bench and Spurs would continually be giving him new contracts?

No our fans no more than Poch, didn't anyone tell you?

Someone writing the exact opposite of what they meant to is a bit different from a spelling/ grammatical error mate ?

No because it was clear from everything that I said in the rest of my post what I mean. Whether you call it a HG quota or a non-HG quota, the way I described the situation throughout the rest of my post makes it obvious what I mean so picking out a poor choice of words and obsessing over it is just nit-picking because you can't be bothered to come up with anything useful to say and add to the discussion.

He hasn't said the exact opposite of what he meant to say. He is clearly discussing the quota imposed by the homegrown players rule. Selling homegrown players clearly affects our position in relation to that rule.

Exactly. Thank you. Someone with some common sense rather than just trolling

It does for me. :nailbiting:

His mistake could’ve cost us the game but I really hope Poch keeps playing him, he’s a real talent

With more game time he will be a lot more confident and then he will shine

Not the first Spurs player to make big mistakes in the CL in recent years but he will learn from this experience. Thought he kept himself together well and played some good attacking football as the match went on.

I hope he gets a loan in January. He is not quite ready. You can see the tools, but he needs to gain confidence and experience. He needs a run of games to get that, and, its hard to see that while Aurier and Trippier are both here.

He desperately needs game time either here or in another club on loan

He is decent but we need faster fullbacks to get the best out of the Poch system. Maybe in formations with 3 defenders at the back he could be more useful like Trippier but he doesn't seem to be great at crossing.

Play him against Burnley. Perfect game for him to get another runout and get more experience.

I wont slate him for a mistake that anyone could have made but I do think its clear that he is not quite ready yet. A loan would do him wonders like it did for Walker

Got to feel bad for the kid. Not easy going into a tough game facing Barcelona when you're not playing regularly and have the practice.
Hope he'll celebrate along with the rest of the guys and all this is forgotten tomorrow

Poor mistake and the issue with his stature came in again as he fell to the ground a lot in his duals, great block but he needs more games, there were moments where you can see he has a great decision making brain and he has a lot of technical attributes. Personally I feel our fullbacks are more wingbacks and would suit 3-5-2 but either way he needs to start vs Burnley and he needs some games over Christmas for us to really judge.
