No, went on a trial - but stayed at Spurs.

Maybe considering a loan next season ? Or maybe thye Munns loan would only happen if Parrett/Luongo did not goto Swindon. Who knows !
Yeah noticed he came on vs Liverpool. I think the Swindon thing may have meant it didnt happen.

Jonathan Miles and Kevin Stewart made their Football League debuts over the Easter weekend.

Young goalkeeper Jonathan celebrated his 20th birthday on Good Friday by keeping a clean sheet on his debut for Dagenham & Redbridge against Barnet in League Two. Edgar Davids played for the Bees as it ended 0-0 at Underhill.

It wasn't such good news for Jonathan on Easter Monday as the Daggers conceded three goals in the opening 20 minutes on their way to a 4-2 loss against Bristol Rovers.

Defender Kevin was on the bench in Crewe's 2-2 draw at Bury in League One on Friday before stepping into the starting line-up for his debut on Monday and a 1-0 win against Preston.

Kevin's next appearance for Alex might just be at Wembley - Crewe take on Southend in the Johnstone Paints Trophy Final on Sunday.

Massimo Luongo, Dean Parrett and Nathan Byrne all made debuts for Swindon in a 1-1 draw against Oldham on Friday having joining the Robins on the Thursday. Massimo and Dean started and Nathan came on in the 55th minute of the 1-1 draw on Friday before all three started in a big game at Doncaster in League One on Monday.

It was second against fourth at the Keepmoat Stadium and Rovers won it by the only goal 10 minutes from time. Massimo and Nathan completed the 90 minutes while Dean, who had a decent strike in the first half, played 82 minutes.

In the Championship, Adam Smith started and forced Kasper Schmeichel into one of a number of saves as Millwall beat Leicester on Friday. He was back on the bench in a 0-0 draw against Ipswich on Monday.

Harry Kane was a late substitute for Leicester in that match at Millwall on Friday and an unused substitute in a 2-0 loss at Barnsley on Monday.

David Bentley missed Blackburn's draw at Blackpool through injury on Friday but returned to play 62 minutes in the 3-0 defeat at leaders Cardiff on Monday.

Jon Obika was an unused substitute as Charlton beat Bolton 3-2 on Saturday.

In the Premier League, Andros Townsend looked lively again for QPR and fired in a couple of efforts as Rangers lost 3-2 at Fulham on Monday.

Danny Rose played 85 minutes as Sunderland lost 1-0 at home to United on Saturday while Simon Dawkins was an unused substitute in Villa's 2-1 home loss against Liverpool on Sunday.

Away from the UK, Heurelho Gomes could do little to prevent Hoffenheim suffering a 3-0 defeat against Schalke in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Yago Falque played 79 minutes as Almeria beat SD Huesca in Spain's Segunda Division while Souleymane Coulibaly started as Grosseto lost 3-1 at Ascoli in Serie B.

Jon Bostock played the full 90 minutes as FC Toronto drew 2-2 against LA Galaxy in the MLS.

Jonathan Obika timed to perfection his first goal for Charlton.

Source: Official Site

The striker climbed high to glance home the winner in the sixth minute of added time against Leeds at The Valley.
Jon had only entered the action as a substitute for Callum Harriott in the 86th minute.

"Jon has been chomping at the bit to play," said Charlton's manager Chris Powell. "And he certainly made an impact when he came on. I'm very pleased for him."

The win moved Charlton up to 12th in the Championship on 54 points - incredibly, there less than 10 points between Peterborough United in 23rd of 24 and Middlesbrough in ninth.

Staying in the Championship, Harry Kane came on in the 74th minute of Leicester's 1-1 draw at Brighton while Alex Pritchard was back on the bench after injury for Peterborough but an unused substitute in Posh's 2-2 draw at Huddersfield.

Adam Smith was also an unused substitute as Millwall drew 1-1 at Birmingham.

In League One, Massimo Luongo, Dean Parrett and Nathan Byrne were without a game for Swindon.

Unfortunately, Kevin Stewart didn't make the 16 as Crewe beat Southend 2-0 in the JPT Final at Wembley on Sunday.

Jonathan Miles was on the bench as Dagenham & Redbridge enjoyed a 1-0 win at Exeter in League Two.

In the Premier League, Danny Rose played 90 minutes in Paolo Di Canio's first game as Sunderland went ahead at Chelsea but lost out to two deflected goals in the second half at Stamford Bridge. (Jammy bloody chavs)

Andros Townsend looked lively as ever as QPR conceded a last-minute equaliser against Wigan at Loftus Road.

Away from the UK, Heurelho Gomes broke a bone in his hand in the 54th minute of Hoffenheim’s 3-0 win against Fortuna Dusseldorf in the Bundesliga on Friday night. The goalkeeper has undergone surgery and will be out for eight weeks. He will remain at Hoffenheim for his rehabilitation.

Yago Falque played 74 minutes as Almeria beat Recreativo Huelva 2-1 in the Segunda Division in Spain while Souleymane Coulibaly came off the bench in the second half as Grosseto lost 2-1 at Spezia in Italy's Serie B.

In the MLS, Jon Bostock played 73 minutes as Toronto FC came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Dallas.

Other than Obika with a great goal and Townsend, not a great week for the loanees. Too few are playing full games, including some not at all which is crazy. Loaning is a major way forward to develop our youth, but if they are not playing much their development is not being enhanced that much either.

No mention of Mason (not in match day squad) or Gomelt

Danny Rose played his part as Sunderland secured a vital win in the Tyne-Tees derby on Sunday.

The full-back completed the 90 minutes and his battle with Newcastle's Mathieu Debuchy was a highlight throughout.
Goals from Stephane Sessegnon, Adam Johnson and David Vaughan clinched Sunderland's first win at St James Park in 13 years and moved them four points off the drop zone.

Sunderland's win didn't help QPR's hopes of survival and Andros Townsend played another full stint for Rangers in a 2-0 loss at Everton on Saturday. QPR are 10 points adrift of safety.

Simon Dawkins was an unused substitute in Villa's 1-1 draw against Fulham.

In the Championship, Jon Obika came off the bench in the 65th minute with Charlton already 4-0 up at Barnsley. The striker soon set-up Salim Kerkar for the fifth goal as the Addicks ran out 6-0 winners.

Alex Pritchard was back in action as a 75th-minute substitute for Peterborough United after injury and helped Posh out of the Championship relegation zone with a 3-2 win against high-flying Watford.

No - and not sure anyone really knows why. Most Millwall fans say he was playing well before being dropped.

He'd definitely taken a nose dive in form, you can tell when they start saying they would move him to right midfield.

From the reports I got (sit next to a Millwall STH at work) he dropped off when his loan period got extended.

LOAN WATCH - MIDWEEK UPDATE

Posted 17 April 2013 08:30am
Massimo Luongo was in fine form as Swindon boosted their play-off hopes in League One with a 4-1 win against Crewe on Tuesday night.

The match featured three Spurs loanees - Massimo and Nathan lined-up for Swindon while Kevin Stewart was back in the starting XI for Crewe.

Massimo played a starring role as Swindon stormed into a 3-0 lead. He headed home a cross from Gary Roberts for 2-0 after 18 minutes before delivering a corner converted by Adam Rooney for 3-0 on 25 minutes.

Massimo and Nathan completed the 90 minutes for the Robins while Kevin played 68 minutes for Crewe.

The result leaves Swindon four points clear of MK Dons in sixth with just two matches remaining - one win will secure a play-off spot.

In the Championship, Adam Smith was back in the Millwall team after sitting out Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Wigan at Wembley and completed 90 minutes as the Lions secured a key 1-0 win.

Jon Obika was an 81st minute substitute as Charlton drew 0-0 at champions-elect Cardiff, with the point enough to secure promotion for the Welsh team to the Premier League.

Alex Pritchard and Harry Kane were unused substitutes for Peterborough United and Leicester City respectively.

From the reports I got (sit next to a Millwall STH at work) he dropped off when his loan period got extended.

Did a quick search of one of the major Millwall forums and came up with these references - none of them saying that his form dropped off. Several asking the same question as to why he was dropped.

Not saying your mate is wrong - but a forum which has a few hundred/thousand posters are not slating him (in any match all players get the odd adverse comment) consistently, so maybe your mate is in the minority ?

The moving to right midfield is a pretty typical comment on many forums of a RB (its been suggested by one or two for Byrne on the Swindon forums now) and comes about because most RB's are taught to be attacking RB's these days - a bit like the old wing backs - which means their defensive abilities are either not as well developed, or if they do spend time attacking they are inevitably going to be caught out of position from time to time. Still happens to Walker despite his speed. So I wouldn't assume that these sort of stories indicate poor form.

So I have still not found any definitive reasons on the forums - several suggestions by odd posters, but no reasons that any great number of Millwall posters are supporting.

My mate goes in the players lounge after every game, knows a lot of the players and talks regularly to Kenny Jackett. I'll believe him over a few forum people mate.

He played well the other night apparently against Watford.

LOAN WATCH

Posted 29 April 2013 12:05am
Three of our players are involved in a fascinating climax to the Championship season.

All eyes will be on the New Den on Tuesday night as Millwall, who could still drop into the bottom three, take on Crystal Palace, who still need points to secure a place in the play-offs.

Adam Smith was back in Millwall's starting line-up and played 90 minutes as the Lions suffered a 1-0 loss at home to Forest on Saturday. It could have been worse but the full-back cleared a goalbound effort from Andy Reid off the line.

After Palace, Millwall travel to Derby on the final day on Saturday.

Harry Kane and Leicester will be keeping a close eye on events at the New Den.

The striker headed home from Paul Konchesky's cross within three minutes of arriving as a 58th minute substitute but it wasn't enough as the Foxes lost 2-1 against Watford on Friday night.

That result left Leicester in eighth place but still with hope of reaching the play-offs - and they travel to seventh-placed Forest on Saturday.

Back at the other end of the table, Alex Pritchard made his first start for Peterborough United and made an impact as Posh secured a valuable win against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

The tricky forward was fouled for a free-kick that was curled home by Grant McCann for the only goal of the game in the 64th minute at London Road.

That win lifted Posh out of the drop zone and they can stay there with a win at Palace on Saturday.

Staying in the Championship, Jon Obika came on in the 80th minute as Charlton's faint hopes of a play-off place were dashed by a 2-2 draw at Middlesbrough. David Bentley was an unused substitute in Blackburn's 1-1 draw against Palace.

Nathan Byrne and Massimo Luongo are preparing for the play-offs in League One at Swindon.

They both played 90 minutes as the Robins lost 3-1 in their final match at S****horpe on Saturday.

Swindon finished sixth in the table and will now take on third-placed Brentford over two legs - home on Saturday, away on Monday, May 6 - for a place in the play-off final at Wembley. The other semi-final is between Yeovil and Sheffield United.
Away from the UK, John Bostock came on at the start of the second half as Toronto lost 2-1 against New York Red Bulls in the MLS, while Souleymane Coulibaly came on in the 76th minute as Grosseto drew 0-0 against Pro Vercelli in Italy's Serie B

This weekend sees the finale of an extraordinary season in the Championship - and four of our players are involved.

Source: Official Site

David Bentley, Harry Kane, Alex Pritchard and Adam Smith are all preparing for the rollercoaster final day in a division where there are incredibly only six points between Barnsley in the relegation zone and Birmingham City in 10th.

Four teams are still involved in the race for play-off places, including Harry and Leicester City.

Meanwhile, seven teams could yet finish in the bottom three, with only Bristol City mathematically relegated to League One. David, Alex and Adam will all be determined to avoid the drop with Blackburn, Peterborough United and Millwall respectively.

We spoke to Harry, Alex and Adam ahead of Saturday’s fixtures - all kicking off at 12.45pm.

Harry Kane – playing for Leicester City at Nottingham Forest – both teams can qualify for the play-offs alongside Bolton and Palace. Harry scored in a 2-1 loss against Watford last week.
“It’s so tight it’s incredible. A few months ago you wouldn’t have thought we’d be in this position but it’s happened now and we have to go to Forest in the right mind and try to get a win. We then hope Blackpool can do us a favour and get a win against Bolton. It will be tough on Saturday though. We need to do our job and see what happens. It will be an amazing atmosphere, especially with Forest involved as well. It’s a great experience to play in these games so hopefully I’ll have a part to play, get a goal and see where it takes us.”

Alex Pritchard – playing for Peterborough United at Palace – could still be relegated, Palace need a point to secure play-off place. After injury, Alex made his first start for Posh in last week’s key win against Sheffield Wednesday.
“I’d been looking for a start and to get my chance and take it was big for me. It was the biggest game of the season for Peterborough so to play 90 minutes in a game like that was fantastic. Everyone is looking forward to the challenge. No-one is looking at Barnsley (who are in drop zone at moment), it’s all about going to Palace, playing our football and believing we can win. This team can win anywhere. The pressure is on Palace as well, they need points as well so you never know what could happen. The only way to learn is to be involved in matches like this and that’s what’s happening now.”

Adam Smith – playing for Millwall at Derby – could still be relegated. He's played 28 times for the Lions, 25 in the Championship.
“It’s an experience for us all as individuals. For us, it’s a relegation battle and we could go for a draw and rely on other teams, but we’re probably better off going for a win. It’s not the greatest situation to be in, to be honest, and we’d rather be at the top end of the table in the play-offs. It’s make or break and no-one wants a relegation on their CV.”
