Do any of you go to games on your own?

I've often thought about a midweek game on my own as there's often the odd ticket left. I work in London so only 20 mins away.

I also sometimes find it hard to find a friend to go as two people having the money available at the same time is a rarity.

What's your thoughts on going on your Jack Jones?

I will be this season given I finally got my season ticket. Not too bothered really. My old man and various mates will be coming up for some games ( providing they can get tickets )

Been a couple of times on my Todd and its not too bad. Obviously the pre/post-match stuff is different but the actual 90 minutes is the same.

I got a couple of mates who hold season tickets in other parts of the ground too so will no doubt have a beer with them before most games.

Sadly going to the Lane for me requires flights and accommodation so it doesn't happen often.

That said, if I were in your shoes then I wouldn't think twice about it. This is your beloved Spurs we are talking about here...alone or with friends, it makes no difference in my book.

True, its all about Tottenham Hotspur! The crowd, the stadium and the players!
Plus theres nothing better than walking towards highbury and Islington tube station Spurs shirt on! Wearing it proud! and meeting other fans making their way to the ground!
It was my last game last night I'm flying to Australia end of september forever!!! But will be watching all the games out there!
COYS!!!

I've been to quite a few away games in Europe on my todd. Always met up with some solid people had a lot of fun & in fact have made some pretty good friends along the way.

Been to a couple of games on my own when in and around London and taking the opportunity to see a game. Tend to change the match day habits to pretty much arrive, watch the game and head back but it's worthwhile to do. Most of the time there is someone sat next to you too so unless they (or you) are completely socially inept then there is option for conversation.

I would rather go on my own than not at all as much as it is better making more of it with friends or family

I have on more than a couple of occasions, i went to the semi against chelsea @ wembley on my tod as I was the only one of my mates to get a ticket.

In fact once I managed to lose a paper ticket of one of the group I went up with and let him go into the ground with my card whilst I sat in the brickies for the game, literally amazing how many people i met in the pub that day who had done the same - but fantastic afternoon and a great communal atmosphere (have had beers with some of the random folk there since). So even worth a trip to the ground for the atmosphere on a matchday even if you arent going in and have nothing to do.

Been plenty of times by myself. I am the odd one that just mumbles about Jenas being a ****, just incase any of you end up next to me.

I've been to a few home & aways on my own. Petrified the first time but there's nothing to worry about once you get there. The worst part is the 5-6 hour drive to the Lane !

I always go with my Old man but football is probably the only paid for "event" so to speak which I would have no hesitation going on my own.

I go to the cinema on my todd quite often but you don't tend to talk there so it makes no difference whether you're on your own or not.

Usually go with friends but lucky enough to get a season ticket this season so went to the game on my own last night. Still a great experience. When my mates comes along to league games they will try to sit in same block.
Definitely go for it.

I've pretty much been going on my own since 1990. Before that I used to go with a mate of mine that I haven't seen now since the year dot.

It's okay though. It'd be nice to meet up before a game with some people, but the opportunity never seems to present itself. Must be my magnetic personality or something! :)

We could meet in the pub before the game.
I'll be the average looking fella wearing jeans and a Spurs shirt.

When I lived in London I went to about 10 games a season and went on my own for probably 9 of them. Never thought it was weird going on my own. I'm there to watch the football and sing some chants, we're all Spurs fans once we're inside.

I do. Be nice to go with a friend from round here, but barely any support Spurs and even don't like football much, if at all.
