could this happen with suarez, could he play while waiting for his appeal to be heard
That's what I think they are looking into. I would laugh so much if the appealed the decision and the ban was suspended only for the appeal to be thrown out the day before Barca's first competitive game meaning Suarez really misses 4 months of football.

Its probably better for all parties he doesn't play during the court appeal. Once they see his hissy fit, diving, over the top antics again, they'll probably want to penalize the twat even more.

Something tells me @Toela65 wont come in here, face the music, man up and admit he was wrong. I mean, he hasnt said one word on the suarez bite/ban. He probably has this thread blocked or something

No point with all the @toela posts. If he cant gloat or preach about the greatness of Liverpool and their grand plans he wont respond.
Yeah, he wont respond, but you'd better believe he'll be reading them, regardless of what he says :)

His FIFA appeal was rejected but he can still appeal to CAS.
And if he does appeal to CAS, they could decide to suspend the ban until a decision is made. So, in theory, he could end up missing many few matches than before if the ban is reduced.

In an interview with Spanish radio station Cope, Suarez's lawyer Alejandro Balbi hit out at football's global organising body and confirmed an appeal would go forward in an attempt to see the ban reduced.

"We hope they revoke this sanction that is blatantly draconian, totalitarian and fascist," said Balbi.

"The right of a footballer to work is being violated, and football should be worried about that. The nine (international) games may seem excessive, but the fact that he can't watch a game of football, or train or carry out his job, we are talking about unpleasant things."

I do chuckle at his lawyers comments that his right of a footballer to work has been infringed upon but it actually hasn't. FIFA haven't banned him from working out side of football so if he is that desperate to work then he can go and get a real job.

But we were told his daughter was being enrolled for scouse lessons and he wouldn't be going anywhere...and we were all deluded and jealous.

Top scorer in the league out.

Lambert (31 years old), Lallana (pretty good but not £25m good), Can (admittedly great), Markovic (good winger) & Bony (pretty good but not £20m good) in.

I genuinely think they're fucking this up worse than we did.

I think Liverpool have done very well to get 75m for a player who, despite his obvious abilities, was becoming a bit of a liability.

They were good last season whilst he was suspended, so now they'll be that same team with all of those additional players brought in using the Suarez money.

Worrying times.

They got wins but it was nearly always a single goal....they didn't start scoring for fun until bograt come back.
IMO they were fortunate to get the points they did during his suspension.
I'll start to worry if all their new signings all click straight away....until then I'm gonna enjoy winding scousers up :)
