There is actually talk of Everton looking to bring Rafa in...

RAWK would have a meltdown on top of their current meltdown. Please let it be true.

and a good possibility Barkley will stay there pending on manager of course

If they get a decent manager in who rates him it will increase his chances of staying a bit, but we will still be a far more attractive proposition.

This one is down to Levy basically. If we are serious in Jan and don't play games I see no reason we won't sign him.

From the Everton forum in reply to people saying he will stay now:D

Mate he touches himself in his Spurs pajamas to thoughts of Pochettino. I'm telling ya, he's off.

Ryan Giggs on the vacant Leicester and Everton jobs:

"For me these are clubs I would be interested in. I think you look at those two teams, Leicester being champions two seasons ago, Everton being a fantastic club with a fantastic history."

In other words: Uh, yeah, Leicester, Everton, whatever. Just 'gis a job. Not fussed.

What a fucking plank. Wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. Flake, oddball, seems dull as drizzle.

Rafa actually makes a lot of sense. Say what you like about him but he's been a far far better manager than Koeman ever has.

Also makes sense from a personal perspective as he's clearly fed up with Mike Ashley and let's not forget, his wife and kids still live on Merseyside ever since he was with Liverpool so it would be a chance for him to finally live with his family again. In his situation I'd definitely be looking to bag the Everton job.

Is "could care less" an Americanism? I hear loads of people over here say it.

Definitely an Americanism. Some people say it in England but basically everyone says it in America. I assume English people have just picked it up from the TV/fiilms like everything else.

Agreed. Like the Phil Neville link as well - they've done absolutely nothing to warrant a top level job. Nothing. Why aren't these idiots looking at lower league jobs/coaching roles in top teams to further their managerial education? No sensible club at PL level would offer them the reigns anyway.

Gary Neville - as good a pundit as he is proved precisely the same thing in Spain. Being a good manager takes time, development and experience.

Rafa has proved himself to be a top manager and Everton would be stupid not to go for him

Koeman sacked

Think it's nailed on he takes over at Holland now

Everton will probably go for Ancelotti

Quite possible on the Holland link - to be honest, he's not what that national team needs either - simply not good enough.

Koeman sounds like such a c

no wonder Ross wanted out (hopefully he still does)

Puel has got the Leicester job.
I genuinely did a double take and thought "what the actual fuck". He hardly covered himself in glory at Southampton despite leading them to a cup final, though I did think it was harsh that they binned him.

His stats at Southampton were good, Cup final and 8th place in the league, but his style of football was turgid

Caixinha sacked by Rangers
He was finished the minute they lost to that Luxembourg side in Europe. It was only ever a matter of time after that.

Sending Kenny Miller to the doghouse without results picking up seems to have been the final straw.
