Mentioned this before, but Clement seems to completely change the moment he gets a top job. As a #2 he comes across as calm, charismatic & grown-up. But put him in as #1 and he turns into a red-faced panic merchant who's kinda childish and not terribly authoritative.

uh oh. New manager bounce...

Swansea closing in on former Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal

Carvalhal left Sheffield Wednesday by mutual consent on Christmas Eve after two and a half years managing at Hillsborough, in which he twice took them into the Championship play-offs.

Well Watford away is their next game, hopefully they wreck his confidence early on.

The Monk/Carvalhal situation is ridiculous. There was a big Boro-Wednesday game last week, billed as a play-off 6-pointer, with both managers under pressure to move in the right direction. Wednesday were leading on the half hour, but two late goals nicked it for Boro.

Net result: Both managers got the sack. Nuts.

The Swansea appointment could be good planning. He might just keep them up this season, but if he doesn't he's already got experience of the championship and did well getting Wednesday to the playoffs twice.

Just met the new Swansea manager by totsl chance coming out of the Marriott in Swansea!

Told him don’t take any points of us next week and he answered back I’m here to win every game

Seems to be a bit of a personality maybe what Swansea needs.

Could see Bilic going there...unless of course the dildo brothers smashed him too much :shifty:. I can't think who else is around.
