Another one failed at being a manager without first proving his credentials as a coach and assistant manager. No doubt he’ll soon be on TV telling managers where they are going wrong.

In his defence he's a bit of a legend at Roma. He's from a Roma area of the city and boyhood fan of the club. In his last spell as manager he was minutes away from winning an unexpected title with them. He even referenced it when he got the job this time - he said he had unfinished business with Roma because of it and even winning the league with Leicester hasn't been enough to get rid of the pain of missing out on the title with Roma on the last day of the season. Importantly as well, he's got Totti's seal of approval.

I know he's had some massive ups and downs over his career, but say what you like about him but he's a genuinely nice bloke by all accounts and a passionate Roma fan. His record in Italy is actually pretty respectable too to be fair to him.

Scholes never really struck me as the manager type. Not really surprised to see him move on, but the speed at which he's decided to throw in the towel is amazing.

I think he has been hard done by, at the start of the season who expected them to be doing this well?

The squad he has really should have been relegated.
