Agree with you except the likes of Gerard and Lampard have not done any real coaching or been a number two anywhere. Only in professional football do you get the top job at a club without having demonstrated your ability as a coach or a number two. Madness.
Stupid move as well for the ex player to walk straight into a job like this. It rarely ends well. Giggs. Neville. Sherweasel. They end up ruining their reputations and compound their ability to have a future coaching career. A more sensible thing would be to work their way up the ranks until they have learned the ropes.

Lovely lumps of tax free cash but what does he do with it ? He already must have more cash than he can sensibly spend. Perhaps he will have his coffin stuffed with the cash when he goes ?

Beers and prostitutes mate.

Though obviously not when in Qatar.

Millionaires dream of being billionaires.
Some poor sod in india probably looks at you and thinks you have more money than you could ever spend.

To be fair, Poch could have poured cold water on this, when interviewed he could have said, "I'm flattered, but I will definitely be at Spurs next season as I've just signed a new contract" instead he waffled on about being "happy but fuubal is fuubal and who knows what happens tomorrow".

And the lilac sparkly jacket he was wearing when saying it was the most heinous thing Ive seen in a long while.

Can't believe the stuff about Sarri's homophobic and racist comments is being cited as a possible reason they are not going to hire him. Like it's only just come to light or something? Surely they'd have done some basic due diligence (like googling him) before tapping him up and getting him sacked?

Bielsa off to Leeds it seems, very interesting one. An extremely highly regarded coach by many.

He probably won't last long that's for sure. But the Championship worth watching next season. Bielsa at Leeds, Lampard at Derby, my second team back in too.

Are Chelsea really worried about that? They have a reputation for that kind of thing anyway. I can't see it being the deciding factor on whether they hire him or not.

I don't know how much these things are a reason their interest is cooling (they were quoted in The Times as reasons) but they are currently dealing with a claim by former black players of racist behaviour by one of their former youth coaches, so this wouldn't have been ideal.

I'm not really sure what the issue is regarding Chelsea and Sarri, how serious they were or weren't and why, if they were, they have cooled.
