Although I agree in principle to the sale I am very sad that someone so commited to our club was deemed no longer of the standard to remain.

Good Luck daws and thanks

It is a shame to lose someone who had been at the club for so long.

However, for the sake of his own career it is better he moves if he isn't going to play. The club has to keep moving forwards and Hull isn't a bad place to go these days.

Good luck Daws - you gave everything and it was definitely appreciated.

Cheers!

10 years...wonder if he will get a testimonial from us.

They should do a Gavin & Stacey special just based on this.

He was Gavs favourite player after all

A real shame that he wasn't good enough in the end. The lack of loyalty in football nowadays pisses me off no end but Dawson seemed to genuinely love the club, a rarity in the modern game. Can't deny my sadness at him leaving but it was the right move for the club and for his career.

Good luck Daws. Always remember the story of the blind kid at the training ground, proper gentleman and nice guy. Wish he was what we needed but sadly not.

Should get a testimonial, love him! Gave everything he had, always! Always a smile on his face too. A true gent.

I totally agree with this. If all our players had his work rate, determination and loyalty we'd be OK

So this makes Lennon our longest serving first team player. He's the last one left from the Jol era.

Unless of course you count the younger players like Harry Kane.

Hope the club brings him back in as a coach when he hangs up his boots, would be a great guy to have around the club, particularly to work with the younger players - his attitude has always been first class and he loves the club.

Sad times, truly. Top man and a real pro. Sandro, Lennon and Kaboul are the only ones left in the current squad who played during our season in the CL. And all 3 of them might be gone at the end of the transfer window. Oh how time flies.

Just want to echo the above. He will be missed. He had his detractors but he was at the club for a long time, which should tell us something about how much he was valued by successive managers.
