Genuinely wish him all the very best and am sad that he is leaving - although i do think for all parties the time is right.

Haven't read all 10 pages of this thread so dont know if anyone has said this already but who would have thought that when Daws and Reid signed from Forest it would be Daws who would go on to be the star. I bet 90% of Spurs fans were so excited we had finally signed a left sided player they didnt even notice Daws had signed!

He has been Spurs through and through from the minute he first pulled on the jersey at Anfield (if i remember correctly). Good luck Daws.

Sad to see him leave. There's not many who will play such an integral part for so long with us.

Hope he has a trouble free time with Hull.

I will miss him. Great servant to the club.

Now, we do not have a player who is willing to put his face/head in front of a ball.

I liked that every time we took a tonking, particularly last year, he was first to grab the team and get them over to the fans to apologise/thank them for turning up. He has always struck me as a really humble chap and gave everything on the pitch, whether good game or bad. Scored a few quality goals for us, too.

Best of luck to him at Hotspur upon Hull.

True gent and always gave his all no matter what.

Really hope he comes back as an ambassador for the Club in the future.

A model professional and genuinely a very nice guy by all accounts. Not enough of these types in the game IMO.

Good luck Michael!!!

Great bloke, had some cracking matches for us. Hope to see him back at the club one day.

Deserves a good run of first team football.

Thank god I don't have to sell him anymore on football manager, he was always club captain and used to get very upset..

He's been a part of all the good stuff thats happened to the club over the last number of years - maybe relative to the preceding decade rather than our entire history - but good nonetheless. Seems like a great guy, and that IS important to football teams, at least at clubs like ours that aren't a pure plastic brand. Sad to see him go. I'm sure he'll be a very important player for Hull, exactly the type of character that can hold a team like that together, and I'm sure the fans will love him there.. as the vast majority of Spurs fans seem to.

Obviously, despite that, there are the typical contrarian wankers knocking about - although despite attempting to be 'individual' they are strangely predictable..

first of all, good luck to Michael Dawson at Hull and beyond. I totally respect his time here, and the way he conducted himself both on and off the pitch cannot be faulted in any way, shape, or form.

I can't get on board with some of the overly-sentimental stuff I'm reading though. he's most certainly not a club legend (IMO at least), and I genuinely can't see how he's been any more loyal than anyone else. he left Forest for a bigger club, and I've no doubt he would've had the opportunity arisen whilst with us. of course, that would've been his right to do, and no-one would've begrudged him doing so. from a playing perspective, I also think we should've moved him on two years ago, and he's been a bit of a liability at times.

I honestly can't say I'm said to see him leave, as it's clearly for the best for all concerned, but I do thank him for his contribution, attitude, effort, and work-rate whilst a Tottenham Hotspur player, and wish him all the best in all his future endeavours.

Best of luck Daws. Always gave 100% and represented our club on and off the pitch with integrity.

Good signing for Hull.

That's pretty much how I see it, he did have his limitations but he always gave 100%. I wish him all the best, I think he'll do well at Hull. Good luck Daws.
