Why would the nfl sponsor the stadium? They don't sponsor their own stadiums.
I don't know, for more sponsorship over here and for people in Europe to take more interest? They already pay Sky some good coin with their advertising. Anyway it's not going to happen but they're loaded. Levy will be rubbing his hands together asloing as we continue to play in the champions league

"Welcome to the NFL Stadium....which ....which only holds TWO NFL games a year....the rest being football innit"

As opposed to the Emirates stadium that has planes landing in there 20 games a season? Sponsors just wanna get there name across

When are we expecting some news on this?

Edit: Made you look!
No real clues. Just working on logic I'd say it's unlikely in the next month or so while ST sales are ongoing - there's at least the potential for poor publicity there to do with the pricing, people potentially not renewing, them having to go very far down the waiting list or potentially on to Lilywhite members, and the 5,000 STs available for locals being in very expensive areas of the ground. I can't see why a sponsor would want to risk being associated with any of that, so I'd say they'd wait at least till mid-late April. At that point though NFL tickets are going on sell so that might be perfect timing if there's someone in place by then.

FedEx mentioned as naming rights partner all over all the forums, seems to stem from

£520m would seem a fantastic deal unless it's very long-term. Even if it's 25 years (longer than expected) it'd be over £20m per season and immediately cover most of the stadium's costs. I struggle to believe even Levy's done that well.

Fedex have a £3bn turnover
Meaning they can afford it or not?
$3bn profit, not £3bn turnover. They could almost certainly afford it and as has been mentioned have taken up similar opportunities with the NFL too, as well as having a significant presence on both sides of the Atlantic - they definitely make sense as a potential sponsor. But I'm suspicious of a seemingly fairly random Twitter account coming up with a figure that's higher than expected when we've had somewhat more reliable indications that we were actually struggling to find someone willing to meet our demands (rumoured around £400m over 20 years).

(Hoping this doesn't count as ITK bashing since I read it as Dovah merely pointing to a source for the rumours rather than lending any credence to them - apologies to mods if I'm mistaken in that)

Twitter bashing is one of a&c's favourite pastimes.

nayim99(no idea if credible) on ssc: FEDEX £500m over 12 years and second sponsor
AUDI £125m over 10 years, Billboards around ground, and Hotspur Way.......
Someone mentioned No white seats??? they wont be installed till announcement made at end of season as the white seats would give the game away.

sounds crazy
old itk grahamroberts on ftl said: The combined number per season isn’t far off from a deal i heard fell through a couple of months ago and so on that basis there could be some truth.
