Just watched his touchdown which has made its way on to the BBC website.

Lovely run yes, but again the 'tackling' in the NFL is absolutely laughable.

Agree with you about the tackling. I used to play rugby at a very low level and there are so many NFL games where they miss tackles that I'd have got an absolute bollocking for missing from the coach and my teammates. I don't like to compare the two sports that much because they're completely different, but tackling is one of the areas where I think NFL players could learn a lot from rugby

2-0 but still hard to gauge how good we actually are considering how shocking that Jets team is.

Great to see Beastmode get his first TD with us along with his celebrating on the sidelines! King Crab with a hattrick too although you'd be pretty pissed off if you had Cooper in your fantasy team.

Bring on the Redskins!

I've seen both Chiefs games this season. Whilst they deserve their 2-0 record, I'm not ready to crown them just yet. They're basically reliant on Hunt ripping off big plays and trick plays involving Kelce. Alex Smith is there to be sacked too.

I mean, the Eagles almost beat them at their gaff without Blount, a secondary or a real kicker, whilst playing patty cake with Smith.

Another week, another loss. Not an ideal start for me. Need an RB. Desperately.

Wrt the actual NFL, the Rams and the Chargers had a combined less attendance than the USC/Texas game on Saturday night. Well done, Goodell. Idiot.

You see a lot of missed tackles in Rugby that should easily be made too. I do think tackling in general in the NFL isn't good, but lets not pretend that you don't see bad tackling in Rugby too.

Can't really blame Goodell. He didn't make the teams move and isn't it the other owners who vote on whether teams can move or not?

Goodell led the charge for it and gave said owners incentlve to move. The owners made half assed attempts to stay where they were. The other owners approved because LA's market is huge so they think they can make more money.

Also, Goodell practically demanded 2 teams in LA and the only reason the Raiders got their move to Vegas, which is what they wanted all along, is because the Chargers decided to move to LA. Had the Chargers decided to stay, the Raiders would have had to move back to LA.

Goodell helps move the pieces into place behind the scenes. Ultimately it is the other owners who vote, yes. IIRC, Stephen Ross (Dolphins owner, as you know) was the only dissenting vote.

I didn't say there were never bad tackles in rugby, I merely said that the general standard of tackling in the NFL is much lower than, for example, test rugby.

Of course rugby players miss tackles too, but from my own experience having watched a lot of both sports I can safely say that there are far more silly missed tackles in the NFL than there are in rugby, especially in 1-on-1 situations

One of the reasons for this, IMO, is that the technique of rugby players when tackling is much better. NFL players often seem to either fly in trying to hit the guy as hard as possible, only to be mugged off completely by a simple change of pace or direction from the runner, or they dive in with flapping arms which achieves nothing either. NFL players do fine when they're making tackles in heavy traffic near the line of scrimmage etc. when the ballcarrier hasn't picked up speed or hasn't got much room to manouver, but when you get a running back break free and end up 1-on-1 with a safety, for example, the standard of tackling in those situations is generally very poor.
