I think the key will be giving him time to adapt, which Tyrod Taylor should provide.

If the Browns don't screw this draft up they could leave themselves in a strong position to compete for the AFC North over the next few years.

Browns are having a good draft and have had a great off season. Fair play to them for trying to improve this much.

Chargers getting Derwin James is disgustingly good.

Drafting that D in fantasy if I can get em

And very happy with the Colts getting Nelson and Smith from Auburn! Last had a good offensive line before I hit puberty so exciting we are addressing the trenches

Chargers in with a great shot of winning the AFC West in my opinion and potentially a good sleeper candidate for the whole shebang if, and it's a big if with the Chargers, they can stay relatively healthy.

As for the Raiders, well, just underwhelming draft thus far - going for the big'uns in the trenches trying to keep Carr as upright as possible which considering we'll be playing the likes of Von Miller, Houston, Bosa and now potentially an explosive talent like Chubb twice a season then I can kinda see the virtue of this but the same token, who the hell is covering TE's?! Been a problem position for years now and still no closer to resolving this major need. Also our secondary is still pretty ropey - hopefully Gareon Conley can make a bigger impact this coming season which might remedy this to a degree but i'm still wary of us getting torched again.

As always though, take draft grades with a massive pinch of salt but i'm not massively encouraged with the moves made by Gruen thus far but let's see how it pans out come the opening Sunday.

Underwhelmed by the Vikings picks in the first 2 rounds. Hughes looks like a good value first round CB but their much bigger need was in the O-Line and Brian O’Neil looks like a huge gamble. He’s only been playing at Tackle as a converted TE for a year or so.

We (Bears) are having a pretty good draft so far. Future starting to look a little bit brighter

Surprisingly good. All 3 picks so far are looking like great business. I'd say there's an argument that we've had one of the best drafts so far to be honest.

Smith looks like a really top prospect as a LB, will be interesting to see how we set up our defense. Daniels looks like an absolute beast. Played centre in college but supposedly will start out competing for a guard spot initially. Looks like the real deal though and great to have that flexibility in the OL. Should provide some good protection for Trubisky. Finally, we were crying out for WRs last season, admittedly partly down to injuries where we had no luck at all, but that was a key area to improve on and I think we've got a great underrated pick in Miller. Having someone decent to throw to is going to be crucial to Trubisky's development.

I was skeptical of Pace before the draft and expected him to do something stupid and trade up unnecessarily but actually so far I've got to admit he's played a blinder so fair play to him.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say if by some miracle the rest of the draft pans out this well then I reckon we've got potential for a 9 or 10 win season provided that Nagy doesn't turn out to be completely inept.

Definitely in the hunt for the WC for sure.

Lol at KC's trolling of the Raiders by drafting Kahlil McKenzie. I liked this from Charles Woodson:

"GM Reggie McKenzie, on his son Kahlil being drafted by the #KCChiefs in the 6th round: "I got a text from @CharlesWoodson. He told me, 'Your son has to retire. There's no way he's going to put that red helmet on his head.' Part of me felt that way."

Raiders draft didn't turn out to be too bad in the end - the fans are pretty upbeat. Though I'm still not sure about the Molson Miller pick lol. (OK, I know he's called Kolton Miller)

Really missing the NFL at the minute, such a long break.

For once I am heading into the season with a little optimism, I don't expect to get to the wild cards but I think we can have a good season still after the past few years we have had. Hoping Mitch has a big season.

Normally I would agree with you about missing the NFL. However, being a lifelong Eagles fan, I am still living in a state of euphoria that I do not want to end.

In true 'where in the world is Darrkespur drafting from' tradition, I'll be somewhere between Chicago and Michigan, but I'll will try to login and be there for the draft itself.

I think in the past five years I've been at a music festival three times for this, a conference in France and one memorable occasion doing it on the Eurostar. Let's hope this year's draft is better than last year's debacle.

It’s just a placeholder for now. I’ll be soliciting suggestions for a time and day after we sign Martial at 5PM tomorrow.

Guice ripped his ACL. Out for the year. Fat Rob/Perine get the boring carries (albeit behind a better, healthier OL), C.Thompson gets the money touches once he's back at full speed. Figure that to be early October.

Basically, J. Reed, Crowder and Richardson get a bump in targets going forward. Adjust accordingly.
