I’m not sure Bell did tell his teammates he’d be there at the last minute. They assumed he would simply because it’s what he did last season.

He is well within his rights to do what he's doing but it's a shitty move to let your teammates think that you'll be there, not turn up and then hide behind your agent. Bell was happy enough to get on Twitter previously to tell everyone he'll be ready for Week 1 but since he failed to turn up he has let his agent do the talking. Bell hasn't spoken to Tomlin for over a week. If Bell had told his teammates he had changed his mind, that he wasn't coming until week 10 as he has to protect his health and future I doubt they would have publicly criticised him. Bell is making a smart business decision and you can't fault him for that but he's handled it so badly.

Let's not forget this isn't the first time Bell's acted up. Last season he arrived with about 10 mins left in the practice before the Jags playoff game, turned up at the stadium late for that game and was suspended for the start of the two seasons before that. Bell's an exceptional talent but an absolute wankpuffin.

Forgot to add the time he was arrested, the time he threatened to retire rather than play for the Steelers, the two off-season holdouts, the strip club video, how he's refusing to return texts and calls from teammates and how he expects Tomlin to communicate through his agent as to how he wants to use Bell as a player this season. Arsehat.

Meh he's within his rights to be an asshole to get a new contract. It won't work, because he's a member of the most depreciating asset of a position in sports, but cheers to him for trying.

Plus I do enjoy Steelers fans melting down over it.

Tampa Vs New Orleans, the accumulator killer! Mental game so far, both Ds look unable to make a stop.

@DFF Ive been thinking, What do we say we add some enticements this year to try to keep at it this year? Last place donates £20 to sc, 2nd to last £10...

The ESPN Fantasy website is a mess, better off doing everything in the app.
