TBF to him, we've had a shit O-line for most of his stay here. Any time he's had good protection he's been good, but it's never lasted and we routinely have one of the worst O-lines in the league. Our offensive scheme is pretty shit too and nobody can get off press coverage.

We'd be better off getting rid when he won't eat up too much dead space (I think we can this summer) and starting over again, but we seem determined to spend money as if we're one or two players away every offseason which leads to an endless run of seven or eight win seasons.

@DFF is right. He falls into the same category as Andy Dalton.

If EVERYTHING is in place he looks pretty good and the team clicks along with him. But any one thing is off (o-line play, mediocre receivers, less than fully functioning running game etc) and he doesn't have the ability to overcome it.

It throws them and the teams they are on into a bizarre limbo. Do you use your 1st round pick to draft a replacement when you probably have bigger issues to address or do you deal with the other issues and hope you get the better performance from your QB? Most teams choose to deal with the other issues.

I think he's better than Dalton. Dalton's greatest achievement is making people forget that AJ Green is an amazing player. He's had a good O-line and receivers throughout his career. If Tannehill had what he had he'd have brought the Bengals further in the playoffs. He's never had a good O-line, bar a short period two years ago, and his best receiver was someone we were determined to not let run five yards past the line of scrimmage.

I think drafting a QB in the first is the answer nowadays unless you have a top 10 QB, provided he's not terrible of course. The cheap contract for 4-5 years allows you to add great players around him if you're smart. There was an interesting article on this by Bill Barnwell

Big weekend! We are away to the Dolphins, not sure on this one, we have the defence to stop them but they are a mixed team, one week they look good, the next week they look awful. Hoping for a huge win, give us even more confidence. If we win this weekend I will start to believe we have a chance at winning the division. Although Packers and Vikings have straight forward games this weekend.

just traded for Jordan Howard in my league. Hoping he and the Bears get it together back to his previous production in the last couple of years. The offense has all the pieces to be good and that defense should help keep the game close to support running the ball.

We go from redzone chance to end the game to throwing an interception which leads to the Dolphins going up field and scoring then converting the 2pt attempt.

Being a Bears fan is entertaining I guess

Oh yeah I meant for this weekend! Both teams were absolutely dreadful. Need to pick ourselves up for next week but what should have been a positive record for us could soon be 3-3! Annoying because our division is wide open and we could have carried on our run but I think Vikings and Packers will overtake us now

He should start the rest of the year, if the Dolphins know what’s good for them.
He better hope he plays against DB's that can't tackle for shit, the rest of the year ...

The Bears D looked off for the most part but, and I'm not into blaming the Zebras too often, that call on the Cohen TD for the 'pick' play (Burton) was as soft as anything considering the play that went down in the Bengals and Pitt game.

Also - not one holding pen the entire game ... Yeah, sure.

Bears have the Pats coming to town next weekend. Fuck a doodle doo.
