A friend of mine, his 10-year old stepson unfortunately has cancer and the Make-A-Wish foundation are organising for him and his family to go to the Nou Camp to watch el classico, he will walk out onto the pitch with Messi and then after the game he'll get to meet Ronaldo, Neymar, Suarez, Bale and Messi. However they said meeting Messi is 50:50 as he doesn't like to do things like that. Twat.

I received a text from my mate last night which said his stepson had passed away at 4:55pm yesterday. He told me last week the cancer had completely taken over his left lung and the doctors told them the lads body had given up. I know it's bad to happen to anyone but shit like this shouldn't have to happen to an innocent 10 year old child.

RIP Byron.

Yeovil give fans a personal touch

Yeovil Town fans have to endure some tiring journeys, but this weekend's 670-mile round-trip to Hartlepool is one of the longer expeditions Glovers fans will face this season.

Supporters of the Somerset club at least saw their side pick up a point thanks to Matty Dolan's second-half penalty.

And the 97 hardy souls who made the trip to County Durham were rewarded by players and staff after the final whistle, with handshakes for each and every one of them.

"It's an incredible trip from one end of the country to the other," Dolan told BBC Somerset.

"The fans will have been up at 6am this morning just to make it here so fair play to them. It's nice that we can reward them with the performance we did."

Well done Jermain, it's the little things in life that are sometimes the best, for that poor little lad to fall asleep in one of his heroes arms will be one of his best days, and I imagine it would have been emotional for Jermain aswel!

Sometimes I like/need to remind myself that football is so much more than a few blokes kicking a ball about, so bumping this thread with this:

I'm sure plenty of you were there for this, but I didn't know about it until just now.
