Ok guys, please use this one thread for discussing the Olympic footie if any of you are watching it.

Watching Argentina - Ivory Coast now after watching a pathetic Brazil side scrape a 1-0 win against a nine-men Belgium.

The ref sent off both the Belgians for two bookings but all four of them can be discussed and two of them (one to each player) were just completely wrong. Think it was a European ref and sincerly hope we never get him in the UEFA Cup. He was even worse than Brazil, who were very uninspired.

Anyway, the reason I started this thread was because one of the Ivory Coast players, Gervinho (sp?) is playing pretty well and I'm wondering how long it will be before Spursking makes a thread saying 'He was very good against Argentina and we must sign him from Le Mans'.

Jokes aside, is anyone else watching any of this?

1-0 to the Argies. Riquelme found Messi with a brilliant pass behind the defence and Messi couldn't miss.

but was it offside? it was close what ever it was. Ivory Coast have had enough chances to have scored one by now.

Gervinho looks good, but im not sure about his finishing.

The Ref in this game is so much better than the Brazil game

Im sure after they won the appeal to stop playersWerder Bremen said that the player or two players from then could go. There where conditions like extra insurance on them ect. Maybe Barca came to the same agrement?
