Belarusian women's shot put gold medallist Nadzeya Ostapchuk has been stripped of her title after failing a doping test, the International Olympic Committee has announced.

How it got passed the gender test first I'll never know.

I feel really down today - the thought of normal boring daytime TV beckons after a fantastic 2012 Olympic Games!

For the whole 2 weeks I was glued to the TV watching these fantastic games unfold... and was proud of everyone who took part in them - I cried, laughed and felt I was running Mo Farah's home straight willing him over the line in the 5,000 ..I was shouting so loud my friend heard me from her house :D

Absolutely brilliant!

I hope the Paralympics get even 25 % of the coverage the Olympics got

My wife works in a college for disabled teenagers and young adults and a number of her students are talking part.

I'm sure nodoby will be shocked to hear that she's just been done for doping. Both the test she took the day before the event and straight after she'd won gold were positive.

I can understand taking a drug that the authorities can't identity, like THG before USADA got a sample of it, but why are some athletes still taking things like stanozolol? Surely they realise that if the authorities could find steroids like this back in the 1980s then they're going to find it now.

I'm very much looking forward to them and most tickets have been sold out as soon as they went on sale. Plenty of people will be there at the venues at least.

Channel 4 have the Para's so 25% might be a little optimistic and the overall coverage will probably be poor with Tammy 50 shades of Grey commentating on every sport.
